  1. Does Steve look after dogs in his own home for a "holiday" period? Thank you
  2. Hello I need a dog sitter willing to have my dog whilst we go abroad on holiday next year. Ideally one who will have my dog in their own home for a week? Any suggestions greatly received. Thank you
  3. I agree but wait for the Sales and Cologne and Cotton have excellent quality gingham and striped bedding (amongst other types) for adults and children. The green gingham is lovely and fresh for children. Another Sale option is Designers Guild with their unisex fun bedding. Washes well and lasts for years.
  4. Yes I agree - it was painless as in no queues and the conservatory was magical all lit up (we went at dusk) BUT the experiences was very, very simple. Wasn't sure why the doors weren't kept shut to the grotto so Father Christmas was 'revealed' rather than just sat there in full view. I felt a little bit more thought to making the event magical wouldn't have gone amiss or even cost much ... A screen up in front of the grotto or at least keeping the door shut! Good value overall as just ?8 per child and a nice unisex gift, good for quite a wide age range.
  5. Lots of martial arts taught around here. Kook Soo Won at Dulwich College gym Saturdays is one I know of. Korean Martial Arts.
  6. Hi I have just had 6 super pairs of curtains made using Dulwich based Elly Allen. They are of superb quality, she turned around the quote very promptly, helped me tweak the lining to the right thickness to suit the end result and my chosen fabric. The curtains and poles came in on time and on budget. All in all it was a great end result! I'm hoping to get her to supply window seat cushions next. Try her out, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. www.ellyallen.com
  7. We went last weekend(no affliation at all with anyone or anything there) and our children were very happy. On the day we went we spoke to the reindeer handler, the Father Christmas had the best "Father Christmas" voice I've ever heard, it saved a schlep into town, present was good - plaster of paris figures which both have done endlessly, I had to buy more plaster so a real hit. It was a fun craft, not a book so children happy. Mince pies, hot chocolate, mulled wine all available. We had to queue to see Father Christmas - but when don't you? School Fairs, Harrods etc - all long queues - he's a popular figure!!!! Children happily tried the games, face painting, bubble blowing and quite frankly have to learn that in life, sometimes you just have to wait a bit. Also he really engaged and spoke to them both in turn, so we felt despite the higher cost, it all went well. Can anyone remind me who made the cake pops? Please let me know.
  8. Any good cycle shop should be able to help you. I remember going to the cycle shop overlooking Brockwell Park. Very helpful.
  9. Barry Road, SE22 I think. Apologies realised you said Primary School - that location is the new Montessori nursery, sister of Little Fingers.
  10. Yes I've seen her a few times and booked her for my children in the past - aged 3 and 5 at the time. She was very good at keeping nearly 40 children mostly under 6 years old entertained! Another happy customer. No relation or friend!
