  1. EI Group takeover of Palmerston already looks like its floundering. Sign outside asking people to come in. Gimmicky offer of free wifi. Empty on Sunday lunchtime when previously you had to book in advance to even have a chance of a table. That's what happens when you take the heart out of something.
  2. The Palmerston appears to have dropped the price of the aged rib of beef on its Sunday lunch menu from ?24 to ?19.95 after less than one week. Clearly EI Group's plans to fleece the people of East Dulwich after kicking out a highly successful landlord of a much loved community pub has not started as well as they may have hoped. Keep hitting them in the pocket by not spending a penny in there - it's the only language they understand.
  3. As far as I am aware the majority, if not all, of the staff have left.
  4. Agree with you on that tiddles. Blatant attempt to cash-in on years of hard work by other people. I have spent thousands enjoying myself in The Palmerston over the years but the EI Group will not be seeing a penny of my money after the shocking way they treated Jamie and the previous team.
  5. My family and I had a great time. Thank you very much to all the people that helped to make this happen. It was a really lovely event. Lee
  6. I've been twice. Nice atmosphere and service but I have to admit the food was slightly underwhelming. I wish them well but after my second visit I left thinking I would probably only return if it was with the kids for basic pizza/pasta and not if I fancied a really nice meal.
