There's a new gym opening in Waterloo Road. A bit further away but for ?10.99 a month(special offer)no contract or joining fee I don't mind travelling. After 6 no congestion charge and you can park aswell. Also it 24 hour gym too, but only manned 8-8 I think. ?19.99 after the gym opens on 24th sept. I'm going to have a look inside over the wkend. I second Mandy at Sheer Class in Nunhead. Been going to her for over 15 years. All my children get there hair cut by her too. Very good prices. She's fantastic with the children.

Is it just me or is the Quailty of school uniform being sold at the school very badly made and horrible material used? Just purchased my daughters school jumper and the material is horrid, it looks like its got little pulls of material on it. Just like if you catch a cardi on something. The bottom of the jumper hardly stretches so it's a struggle to get shoulders arms in. But once on fits fine. I wish they were made with decent material and a bit more expensive, at least then I know they will last. Even when washed no difference! At the age of 29 didn't think I'd be complaint about school uniform. My partner has told me I'm to old for my age!

Yes I've noticed the website is not very helpful. Don't think all the links work on the site. Im hoping they open on fri or mon so I can get school uniform. I might email the PTFA in the hope that they might know.

It's the old Peckham rye toilets opp the park east dulwich road side.

This happened to us recently cannot remember the company name but they were working on behalf of Hyde Housing. They wanted to check communal hall way said they had tried to call several times. Which is a lie. Also said if we didn't contact them by a certain date they would change the locks. I rang hyde housing and basically gave them an earful. Nobody ever turned up. But the company do the checks were fire safety company that had already came around 3 month before hand.

Wow it was in the bloody afternoon not 10 at night. They complained at 3 pm for crying out loud. Move to the country if you want a quiet life!

Well life dosent stop just because people have work. What is the big deal?? A group of people?? These people want to hold an event that was given permission from the council. The money raised goes straight back into the community to keep youngsters of the street. I'm sure you don't want youngsters hanging around outside your house do you? These group of people are doing a good thing. I wonder how all you miserable people help raise money for the community? You guys really need to get a life. There's so much more important stuff going on than an event playing music in the afternoon!

I've just got my daughter a blackberry on contract as she's starting secondary school to in sept. She gets 200 mins unlimited texts a month. It's not a lot of minutes really but she sends txt and bbm more than anything. It's ?20 a month and it works out cheaper contract than pay as you go. Just depends on how much she talks!! Also conditions were that she has to pay the bill herself by doing housework and all the money she tends to get of her grandparents etc. Thought it might teach her a bit of responsibility and when she's in trouble I know the punishment of having her phone taken of her will be huge for her. I actually think Charter don't allow phones anyway. But after school I'm sure she will want to be phoning new friends she's made. Each to there own really. Vanessa

It actually wasn't that big of an event. It was only in the adventure playground. A DJ, a BBQ, face painting, bouncy castle and ice cream van. It was planned to finish at 8, but I don't know if it went on later than planned. It was a lovely day and the children enjoyed it very much. Sorry your child was sick but I'm sure a bit of outside noise at a reasonable time does not harm nobody.

Wow how miserable are some people. I took my daughter there to today to celebrate a late Jamacian Independence Day. I did not find the music as loud as you are saying it was. It's only once every couple of years they have it there, also all the money they make from it goes straight back into the community. Also they were celebrating Usain Bolt's gold medals. If this happened every weekend I could understand, as I would also be annoyed, but come on it might not be music of your taste but 8 hours through the day of loud music and you want to take it as far as to complain to the manager.

I know lots of people have slated lollibop festival. But I really enjoyed it last year. Wasn't going to go this year as the ticket price went up to ?25 I thought that was pretty expensive. But littlebird have tickets half price so 12.50pp or family tickets ?46. I decided to book for my little girl. Also if you check the fb page it does say they have made improvements as they were lots of complaints last yr. so I think instead of 1 face paint tent there will be 3 dotted round the park. I also think it said that they have taken away the trampoline and replaced it with an activity, which to me makes more sence. Hope the weather hold up for me Vanessa

Thank you for all your replies. I did wonder why the logo wasn't on the jumpers and just on polo top. I did have a moan to my partner that I thought the new design was horrible and thought it should have a logo on it, instead of big black bold letters. But now I know,how fantastic is it that a child won a competition to design it. Not many schools would of taken that chance! Well done Bessemer!! Think I will now warm to the jumpers. Vanessa

Hi there My daughter starts in sept, and I've not got her uniform yet! We did go to the summer fare to look at the new design uniform, but it pored down with rain so didn't really get a look at the Uniform as we ran to the car to get out the rain. All I really saw was a red jumper with big bold black wording on that said Bessemer on. Is that the new design? If it was I'd love to see what the old one looked like! Is it black or navy bottoms they wear? I have serious baby brain at the mo!! Also is there a chance the school opens a few days before children start so I can buy uniform. Any info appreciated. Hi saffron. Omg last night I was up a&e kings as my 4yr old broke her toe by a glass chopping board falling on it. She cannot go to school as she cant walk very well just hobble! So I'm stuck in also as she can't wear no shoes. We have a back garden to go in but went to cut the grass today and the cutters stopped working so we can't use the garden cos the grass is knee length. So drawing and painting will have to do for the next few days. Totally know how your feeling. Vanessa.

My daughter has been accepted into charter for sep, problem is I live with my partners dad who pays all the bills so I have nothing in my name apart from bank statements and child benefit letters. There asking for a council tax bill to be in the same name as child benefit letter, as prove of address but the council tax bills in my partners dads name. Any advice pls. Thanks
