Hi, Can anyone recommend a good value campervan hire company within reasonable distance of ED. Doesn't have to be a classic van hire just one that will do short breaks/long weekend hire and have vans that can accommodate a couple of adults and one child. Thanks

Sorry didn't hear anything. I had my bike pinched from front garden shed on Landells last month. Will check out the Bikeshed site when I manage to get a replacement. -

If anyone gets any more clues as to the history of Landells road I'd be interested, I've been trying to find out the history of our house a bit more, it's on the 1894 OS map and in the 1901 census not the 1891 so probably built early 1890's. Sorry no info on Acocks.

Boarding every time. In response to lizzie, yes we do like to sit down a lot, but why do skiers always stop in groups at the top of every turn, takes all our energy to navigate round you all

We have quite an artwork up and down Landells today, not helped by the binmen wheelieing it around everywhere. Would like to catch the culprit but not sure if I'd look a bit odd sitting in my front window with a camera & notebook. Will alert the council anyway.

That's interesting, other Mitchell & Butler operations are The Harvester, Commercial in Herne Hill, Alleyns Head in West Dulwich. Learn something new every day.

Just out of interest, I presume the Crown and the Plough are the same brewery, or food supplier, as the menus look the same- food, design etc is this right? Went in the White Hart in CP at the weekend too and they had a very similar designed menu with very similar food. All nice pubs but I get a bit tired of seeing the same old menus.

Ah, interesting, didn't see that thread.

Maybe it's me spending more time outside/windows open but is there an increase in the number of planes flying overhead? There seems to be one every couple of minutes at the moment over our way (CPT), more than usual I thought. Disrupting my afternoon naps.

We've been watching the market around here for about 6 months now looking to buy and certainly seen properties drop their asking prices by up to 15% in that time, there are a lot of flats/houses staying on the market for quite a while but properties that are in excellent condition have gone very quickly, at what seemed like opportune asking prices. I'm not sure how well insulated ED is against a downturn in the market, we recently had an offer accepted that was over 15% below the asking price. Whether or not we've made a good decision time will tell but we are here for the long term.
