  1. Hi there. Is anyone on here an expert in how to help someone who will imminently be made homeless? Not myself, but a local single parent who has been priced out of ED's rising rental market. Any ideas for how to tackle the situation or accommodation welcome. They have of course gone down the standard route of speaking to council and Shelter.
  2. It really is poor judgement on the bakery?s part. The baby was probably only crying over the eye watering prices of their bread, something i?ve certainly wanted to do as a big, grown, paying adult customer.
  3. Ooh, we loved having you!!! Come back next Christmas!
  4. We all seem to have gone pretty quiet, not surprising since most of us are either delivering or coping with the first few weeks! I wondered if anyone around Forest Hill has been organised enough to work out child are for going back to work early next year?
  5. Hello, does anyone have any suggestions for a nice place my mum could stay, as she is coming to visit her first grandchild from Australia. She usually stays with us, but it's not going to work with the new baby. Any tips for the east Dulwich/Dulwich/Forest Hill area appreciated. She needs to be able to get to us on Woolstone Road easily. Thanks so much for any tips.
  6. I have to vouch for Shanie above. She is so lovely and has done some of the best manis I have ever had. No, I'm not on commission either!
  7. Let's get to the Great Exhibiton then! Anyone got dates in mind? When most of us are on leave we could do a weekday lunch.
  8. Hi Jenny We've just made the move too! I see you're due soon. Are you in the East Duwlich winter babies group? We can be found here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,1130133,1222858#msg-1222858 We're meeting tomorrow afternoon if you want to join us. Pushpaw that dance class sounds brilliant!
  9. Hi guys I dropped, offline for a bit, but have joined the FB group. Is another meet up planned? Cheers
  10. I didn't want to wear one and be branded either, but I have got so sick of people not offering me a seat, it has helped me. So it benefits me, in giving me some more of my my pre-pregnancy confidence back to ask ( that went and was replaced by weariness). I do think it also makes it easier for others to identify you quickly, making it easier for them to offer you a seat. Up to you of course, but if you're in pain or bump is bundled up under a coat, it is useful. I was also pondering this evening that it makes it much more obvious why I am slow, queuing to stand on the right and ought not to be bumped or bustled and I haven't been while wearing it.
  11. I agree with everyone else here. It was a worthwhile investment and I sent it on to another would-be mum on mumsnet.
