Pregnancy massage is available for women in their second and third trimesters (ie after the 12th week), where the pregnancy is classified as low risk by their doctor or midwife. While it is by no means against the law for 'just anyone' to massage an expectant mother, professional treatments use techniques developed specifically for expectant mothers, avoiding movements that are considered risky during pregnancy.
