Have just had a very positive experience with the installation of garden lighting by a chap called Christian at Garden Lighting London. Really professional service, turned up exactly when he said he would; great communication (replying to emails promptly etc). He did a superb job, no mess left, and the effect is very impressive. Fair and transparent pricing. Would highly recommend.

I'm looking for a caterer to provide and serve a fork supper - ideally a curry for about 130 people - at a venue in Dulwich on a Saturday evening in November. I've found a few that will prepare food, but I really want someone who can come in and serve, buffet-style. Does anyone know if any of the Indian restaurants on Lordship Lane do this?

Found Lee via previous recommendation here and even with all the glowing reviews he still exceeded expectations! From getting back to me within 30 seconds (literally!) of my first contact, through to finishing a tricky job in a domestic bathroom on Lordship Lane in a single day in a very professional manner, we were incredibly impressed by Lee and his cousin. They did an excellent job, left the place cleaner than they found it, and gave a very fair price for superb workmanship. Really incredibly impressive and would recommend without reservation.

Just a little tip for anyone looking for superb, competitively-priced celebration cakes - Mrs Ste Croix in East Dulwich. She did my wedding cake earlier this year following a recommendation from a friend - we were blown away! A stunning 4 tier cake which exceeded all our expectations - and the taste lived up to appearances and more! I have also commissioned a Christmas cake for this year (to remove one task from my to-do list), having loved the Caribbean Rum Fruit Cake layer of the wedding cake. I need some minor adjustments to a wedding dress before early July - does anyone have any recommendations?

We are looking for a gardener to do a clear-up/tidy-up job on a recently-bought property in the ED area. There is a front and back garden, lawned at the back only, and a deck that requires cleaning. The place needs a good tidy up, plus removal of some waste left by the previous owners (not big things, the largest is a water tank dumped at the back). It would be great if someone could also power-hose the deck. Many thanks.

Dear Vitek and Peter You may be enjoying your holidays at present, but having read lots of glowing reviews on the ED Forum about VP removals I thought I would make an enquiry. We are looking for someone to do a small job, involving packing up some personal effects (books,clothes, electrical items) in a flat being made ready for letting in ED. We need whoever does the job to bring packing materials, and to arrange storage afterwards for about 6- 12 months. We are looking for help to remove some personal effect from a flat that is being prepared for the rental market in East Dulwich. There are approximately 5 - 6 boxes of belongings such as books, kitchen equipment and electrical equipment, which need to be stored for about 6 - 12 months. Build Team - based in Clapham - excellent, excellent, professional service - they have done 2 bathrooms for me and both times were faultless. I was particularly impressed by how clean they left the place each day when they left - really made an effort to be tidy and neat all the way through, not just as the end of the job.
