  1. My son lost his cap this afternoon between Barry Road and Dulwich Park. It?s army / camouflage colour. On the off chance that anyone picked it up - please PM me! Many thanks
  2. Brilliant, thank you! Sure the motorbike would also be a hit in our house :)
  3. Does anyone have recommendations for a good driving instructor - preferably female and patient with nervous drivers! Thanks in advance.
  4. My son has requested guitar lessons! Can anyone recommend someone local (and patient!) Many thanks.
  5. Hi, I'm looking for someone local to repair a vintage, rattan rocking chair. Pic attached. One side of the seat has broken but its otherwise in good condition. Please PM me if this is something you could do or if you have any recommendations! Thank you.
  6. Someone mentioned a martial arts class for kids on Saturday mornings - I think in Red Post Hill somewhere. Does this ring any bells / anyone have any more details on this? Many thanks!
  7. I'd be really interested to hear from parents of children who attend Edmund Waller. Would you recommend it? Trying to finalise the school applications before next week! Many thanks
  8. Hello, I'm looking for a childminder to collect my son from Goose Green school nursery on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from this September. This would mean collecting him at 11.45 and looking after him until 5.30. Please PM me if you're interested or would like to share childcare! Many thanks.
  9. Thanks everyone; just checked on eBay and that seems to be the one. Expensive though! I'll see if I can get one secondhand.
  10. Does anyone happen to know where you can buy the booster seats that are often used in restaurants such as Pizza Express? I'm thinking of the ones with black seats and metal arms / hooks which just hook on to the back of the chair? Many thanks.
  11. Does anyone know of anything fun going on locally tomorrow - possibly Halloween-related - or just general half-term fun - suitable for a three year old? Thanks in advance.
  12. Thank you SO much - it's now FOUND! The power of the EDF. x
  13. We lost a small brown cuddly walrus toy at lunchtime today -- somewhere between the Horniman museum and Dulwich Library. Please let me know if you've seen it / picked it up? I have one very bereft little boy here. Thanks!
  14. Hi there, My son is nearly three but has recently requested that I leave the light on when he goes to sleep. His bedside lamp is quite bright so I was wondering whether some kind of night light might be the way forward. However, it does need to give off a significant amount of light to be effective and the ones I've seen so far seem marketed at babies and only give off a very soft glow. Does anyone have any ideas or a particular product to recommend? Many thanks in advance.
  15. Hi there, My two year old son had chicken pox recently (first spots appeared about four weeks ago) and although most spots have now faded he has been left with several angry looking red pock marks on his tummy (I'm guessing he must have scratched these in his sleep). Can anyone recommend a good cream or salve which may aid healing and minimise scarring? I realise they're likely to scar to some degree but would like to minimise this if at all possible. Many thanks.
  16. That's how I understand it - yes. You start the September before you're 5. So our kids will be amongst the oldest in the year - whereas others with March birthdays for example would start at the same time but only be 4 and a half. I think!
  17. I think they go the September that they are 'rising 5' - but I am / was confused, hence my intitial question! Fingers crossed.
  18. Hello, I'd be grateful for some advice. Could someone outline briefly the current timetable for school applications? My son is almost two and as he has a November birthday I understand that he will be starting school when he's almost five in September 2015. When would I need to apply for a school place? September 2014? Many thanks in advance and sorry if this repeats previous strands.
  19. I'd also be interested in hearing top tips for this? My son isn't quite two but he loves books; chats away constantly and is getting really good with his colours and numbers and shapes - so I thought I should at least know the basics when the time comes. And yes, I was a swot too!!
  20. Thanks - I wasn't sure whether they were universal.
  21. Does anyone else have any advice on this? Thanks in advance.
