  2. Leeds v Liverpool, don't think 'pool can field too much of a weakened team, Leeds and their fans will be up for it...
  3. Haha, nice try matthew, come back when you've got some facts not assumptions. Last season the scousers gained more points in injury time than any other club, fact. I don't know, one minute it's Fergie Time i.e. Utd always get given more injury time minutes, which these stats totally dismiss, and now your 'suggesting' the ref blows up early if we are winning, Quids is right you are funny...:)) As to your second point, surely it all depends what happens in the initial period of injury time as to any extra injury time given, yesterday we had Citeh's over celebration and a substitution which added nearly a minute and a half, not forgetting Shay Given's timewasting 20 odd seconds to take a goal kick. The referee played fair and square and even added on more time for Utd's over celebration, but of course by then we didn't care...:))
  4. ...maybe we should have an insult box, 50p a pop? back to reality, those sometimes useful but have got nothing better to do analysts at Sky have come up an interesting set of figures that explodes another scouse obsessed myth... average time added on for the 'Big 4' teams playing at home over last 3 seasons - Chelsea 3min 49secs L'Arse 3mins 44secs Scousers 3mins 30secs Utd 3 mins 25secs

I'm glad Keef is my 'dad' and not Quids, rumour has it he's started taxing pocket money...
  6. I think yesterdays decison was a lot more clear cut than the OT decison Jah. It wasn't clear at normal speed whether Gomes or Carrick got to the ball first. Whereas yesterday if it wasn't a penalty why didn't he book Keano for doing an Eduardo?..

Stockport?! not even close, now you really are showing yourself up to be a complete thicko, stick to changing the lyrics of songs popular with pubescent girls...:))

  14. Well, what can I say, yesterday was fooking brilliant, fantastic atmosphere all day and not a plastic flag under a seat in sight, and what an ending, Stretford End exploded, never seen anything like it in years...nice one Michael, and Giggsy just gets better and better...oh, for the uneducated Woolwich supporters amongst us, Stratford is in East London... PS to answer your question matthew...as soon as Michael signed for us he became a Manc...:))
  15. This thread is hilarious, might have to stay in next Friday, won't be watching SCD though...
  16. Male bonding Anna...;-)
  17. Keef, I think it's a case of 'any enemy of my enemy is a friend'. When Utd last played Everton at OT, both sets of fans joined in together in the'Rafa's cracking-up' chant. Most Utd fans haven't got a problem with Everton, we're not anti-scouse period. The use of 'Scouse' or 'Scouser' is a lazy reference directed at LFC at their supporters, just as I suppose Manc is for Utd and our fans. I've posted before that in the sixties Utd fans could stand on the Kop, my oldest brother did on an evening mid-week game, but it wouldn't happen now. With the success of Liverpool and now Utd the animosity between the fans has grown and grown since then. Simultaneously our rivalry with Citeh has lessened because they were not seen as a threat, but that will change if they become successful...
  18. Yes Anna, that made me laugh, definitely a wind up from Fergie, and the Adebayor/Tevez remark..ouch! This years Mcr derby is definitely the biggest for a long time because of Citeh's money and their potential to challenge for honours, and I'm actually enjoying seeing Citeh up there, it's good for the city. The rivalry like the Merseyside derby is fierce, but it's not uncommon to have friends and family supporting the other team. This doesn't happen with Utd v 'pool and I think that is why that 'derby' is still the fiercest of the two, there's just no common ground between the fans. Of course this could all change if Citeh start winning things...
  19. Yes Simon, I can imagine you didn't have much left of your fingernails. I managed to catch the second half, it was a good entertaining match for the neutral, perfect warm-up for the proper derby on Sunday, and before anyone says anything, Chelsea v Sprus is not a proper derby... Arsenal 3 Wigan 1 Aston Villa 2 Portsmouth 1 Bolton 1 Stoke 2 Burnley 0 Sunderland 0 Hull 1 Birmingham 1 West Ham 1 Liverpool 3 Chelsea 2 Tottenham 2 Everton 3 Blackburn 1 Man Utd 5 Man City 1 Wolverhampton 1 Fulham 1
  20. Tonight's the first proper outing for the 2 extra referee's assistants along each goal line, will be interesting to see if they are a hit or miss...
