We have just used Dave Franklin and his team to paint our newly made sash windows, some outside brickwork, a bedroom and our hallway. Dave came round and a couple of days later provided a "proper" quote setting out exactly what he intended to do, including all the preparation work, and to what standard. The quote was not the cheapest we received but seemed by far the best value for the work we wanted doing. Terry from Dave's team was the main man on the job and was punctual, friendly and well skilled with a paintbrush. Unforeseen work which occurred during the job (the bedroom ceiling needed a re-plaster) was sorted out quickly and efficiently. Have to agree with the comments about the very variable quality of the food. I've had four meals here which have ranged from very good to pretty poor - without consistent standards I'm reluctant to recommend eating at The Flying Pig to anyone. It's a shame because I really want to like it and had hoped that this place would be getting a bit more of my hard earned cash. However, if you are just after a beer it has a really good selection which is well kept and is reasonably wallet friendly.

The menu looks very tasty and the chef has a great CV. 18 draught beers ......
