  1. Great idea! Have always thought there is a huge market for a cinema - a bit like the Electric cinema, or many that I have been to abroad - which is something slightly different to the blandness of the Odeon etc. For what it's worth, which may be very little, I'd love a cinema where you could have a glass of wine while you watch the movie, perhaps with some simple (and non-crunchy, because that drives me crrrrrrrrrrrazy) food such as pasta too. Anyway - best of luck. T
  2. We put our son on the Upland waiting list over a year ago and still no joy, although they tell me we're still on the list when I have called them to check!
  3. We had the same problem with our 18 month old recently. The breakthrough for us was that we got the shower going while holding it(we have a shower-into-the-bath arrangement) just before he got in and he wanted to play with it so much that he didn't even notice us putting him in! Once he'd got tired of the shower, he did briefly ask to come out but was distracted by his toys. He now still asks for the shower to be put on before he gets in but now hardly plays with it and is as relaxed as he was before! Good luck!
  4. We've lived on Friern Road near the Lordship Lane end for two years now and absolutely love it here. It's quiet, the neighbours are lovely and it's well situated for Lordship Lane and the parks. We wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
  5. James, Muffins, I know calling the police may seem like the right thing to do, but in my experience they are not interested at all. I've had my bicycle stolen (heavy chain snipped off) from the front of my house and thought I wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting it back. Following day I was talking to my neighbour, and it turns out his security camera overlooks a bit of my front garden - and it had recorded two guys in a van driving up, breaking the lock and taking the bike. You can see their faces and the side of the van (but not the VRN) - and I told the police all of this but, as yet (two months later) I have not been able to convince them to come and look at the video, or let me arrange an appointment to deliver it to them. I'm not sure whose side they are on, but I'm pretty sure it isn't mine.
