  5. We're looking to rent our house for two weeks from 7th - 21st July on a highly desirable road in SE22, a 1-minute walk to East Dulwich station. 3 bedrooms, each with a super-king, a king and a double bed (possibly 4 - depending if we need to use our daughter's room for storage!) Lovely garden, BBQ, pizza oven, balcony, newly fitted kitchen, washer, dryer, Peloton. All set for families with kids' toys, cot, highchair, bed rail etc. Please contact via DM to discuss price.
  6. We love EDG on East Dulwich Grove. The management couldn't be more helpful and accommodating, it feels like a real family and the staff are very caring. We've had two children go through them now and am very happy with the care.
  7. Boogie Pumps is really great - unlike most dance schools / classes - they don't make you buy the whole kit and the children can wear whatever they like / feel most comfortable in. Sherilyn who runs it is lovely too. We've been going for over three years and I'll send my two year old when she's old enough. https://southeastlondon.boogiepumps.co.uk/
  8. I?ve PM?d you my contact details, our car reg and model. Sounds like we might have a winner! I love this site. Please don?t close down, East Dulwich Forum! :-(
  9. Last night we had both car reg plates stolen off our car on Derwent Grove in the middle of the night. This has been reported to the police and insurance company, but we?re obviously expecting a whole load of admin off the back of this (speeding tickets etc?) Anyone else had this happen recently?
  10. If you're due to have a baby any time in December, January or February, drop me a message and I can add you to a WhatsAppp group we've set up of women due at a similar time. Purpose of the group is to offer community and support, contact for the darker months when you just need to leave the house and see a friendly face for a walk.
  11. Any one expecting a baby between December and January 2022, we?ve got a nice little group of first and second time mums on WhatsApp and will start meet ups soon. Drop me a PM and I can add you to the group.

  13. Hi EDF parents to be I'm due my second baby in January 2022. I joined the Summer Babies group back in 2018 with my first, and it was a great support group to have during pregnancy and the first year. Many of us are still in touch today! If anyone is due in the Winter (December, January, February) and would like to join the WhatsApp group, please message on here / DM me your number and I'll set up a group for all of us. If you're due in November, my friend Bridie has already set up an Autumn Babies Group here: /forum/read.php?29,2200707 Amy x
  14. My builder unfortunately got a PCN because I was 6mins late booking his visitors parking that day (grrrr....) This was on 9th June and since then I have tried several times to pay this online, but the Southwark parking website keeps coming up with an error message "This PCN / VRM combination does not exist" (I know I'm inputting the correct details...) I've also tried to pay via PayPoint, but the reference number keeps being rejected. Now, I've called Southwark Parking on average twice a day since then, no answer - ever - and no reply to my voicemails, and I've sent now 8 emails, all remain unanswered. You can imagine my frustration... Any one else had this issue with parking a parking fine? I'm at a loss what to do and don't want to face paying double, or worse still, my builder getting a court summons or whatever happens for unpaid parking.
  15. The Royal Mail issue continues... turns out we had two (high value) deliveries on Thursday 8th on Derwent Grove, both were confirmed as delivered by RM, one has a "IUX" signature (not ours) on the website - which is apparently what they use now for "signed for" deliveries when the person isn't in. Neither were even attempted - thank you to our neighbour's Ring camera, we can see no postie walked up our path that day. So they are signing for the parcels themselves, not even attempting delivery. We've been on the phone to Royal Mail this morning, and they are investigating it, but are very defensive and keep saying the postie delivered it, even though we have proof no one even walked down our path. We?re not holding our breath, but just wanted to flag in case anyone else is getting missed deliveries.
  16. Our lovely cleaner, Siya, has been cleaning for us for over 8 years, and is looking to take on more clients in the SE22 / SE15 areas. Ideally she would like someone who needs around 4-5 hours per week, she charges ?15 per hour and always does a superb job. She is so reliable - hasn't missed one appointment in all this time, and always goes above and beyond to make our house liveable in after we've created all the chaos and mess. I can't recommend her enough. Drop me a PM and I can put you in touch.
  17. We just had London Spray over to bring our very tired radiator covers back to life and spray paint them the same colour as our hallway. https://www.londonspray.co.uk/ Aivaras also spray painted our fireplace to match the newly decorated living room. He told me he can spray paint any hard surface in your home, so; radiators, kitchen cupboards, wardrobes, cornicing, banisters, front doors, furniture. He's creative, works hard, efficient and prompt. Runs a tight ship and I'll definitely get him back, once we can figure out what else we can spray paint!! I was blown away by the final effect. The radiator covers look brand new (and even better, completely bespoke in colour). And the fireplace would have never achieved the same result had we painted it ourselves.
  18. We had a very short period between Exchange and then Completion (five days) and Peter from VP Removals (http://www.vpremovals.co.uk/) and his team quite literally saved the day. Particularly because we moved four days before Christmas. On packing day, Peter and his team turned up on time and did an incredible job of packing everything carefully in clearly labelled boxes. And admittedly, far more carefully than I would have ever packed. We didn't have a single breakage. On moving day, again they arrived on time, cleared the house within three hours and when it came to moving into the new house an hour later, they did it swiftly and quickly, reassembling all furniture. Their website is set up to ask all the necessary questions ahead of quoting, so they don't need to come round to quote, meaning you save time and money. We thought the cost was very reasonable and the packing service just made the whole moving house experience far less stressful with a toddler. They worked super hard and I can't recommend them enough!
  19. Another recommendation for Simone?s Mummy Boxing from me! I was a bit anxious at my first session; not only was it my first boxing session but also one of the first post-partum workouts. But Simone was so welcoming and really took care to show me what I needed to do, explaining all the moves and making sure I knew what I was doing. I Walked away nice and sweaty, having had such a good workout. It?s amazing to be able to workout for such good value, nice and locally AND to be able to bring the baby too! Basically it means there?s no excuse!
  20. I can recommend Hub Health in Clapham Common. http://www.hub-health.com/ I see Aude there - who specialises in pre and post natal osteo as well as PT.
  21. Just wanted to recommend Naish and Sons chimney sweeps (5th generation, since 1870!). I called up on Wednesday, they came over on Friday, arrived bang on time and the chap was very polite, helpful and tidy. He even called me out to see the sweep when it was pushed all the way to the top of the chimney stack; apparently it's good luck to see it! Their website is: http://naishandsons.com/
  22. Our lovely cleaner Siya is looking for a new client for 3 hours a week, every Monday morning between 8-11am. She charges ?12 per hour. Siya has been cleaning for us for over four years, she's very trustworthy (has her own keys), is always on time, never misses an appointment and always cleans to a very high standard. Siya can be contacted on 07445 439082 (and I'm very happy to speak to you with a more detailed reference if you want to DM me). Amy
