  1. chances are high. I see them in all our neighbouring gardens all the time. they do not like the dogs going out to give them an argument though
  2. of course, when your party was in control the sun shone every day and peckham rye became the elysian fields. funny how your brilliance resulted in a swing to labour that bucked the national trend big time and swept you from and your tory mates from power..... and returned tessa and hattie with big majorities too.
  3. was walking the doggies in the park yesterday when a sainsbury's delivery van came trundling along the footpath. as the dogs were scampering back and forth, I stopped the van asked what he was doing. he said he was delivering to the cafe (0n the other side of the park) and was lost. I told him where the cafe was and he said (honest!): "i've done the delivery but I couldn't find a way back out." he then drove off along the narrow path beside the picnic area and managed to rip some branches off the trees. the last we saw of him was getting jammed in somewhere near the saxby gardens. what a pillock
  4. it ran for two years. they had a big top on goose green. withnail and I was screened in the first year and bill bailey did a riotous evening to close the second year. the following year the lib dems and tories took control of southwark and edfest was canned when they refused to continue supporting the event.
  5. gosh, that cllr barber is a jolly busy little boy. pedestrian crossings every few feet on the lane and now residents failing to keep their wilfully rule busting privets etc firmly in line. me barber is also a cycling devotee who does not like cars).... so watch out for perking permits everywhere (they keep on trying.) dunno if he's got anything to do with the peckham rye park picnis area being closed of of the elfn safety fears regarding the beautiful trees. give us a break jimmy baby... leave us alone for a while willya!
  6. police motorbikes stopped traffic at the library crossroad this morning. they held up lordship lane traffic in both directions as two outriders shephered a landrover to the junction where it whizzed right into barry road. I couldn't see who was in the car coz it had darkened windows
