  1. Thank you, we managed to speak yesterday and are coming by to quote next week. congratulations on nearing the end....
  2. Hello, I used a local architect, Sandy Rendel (Choumert Rd), to plan a double width ground floor extension, and I found him to be creative, thoughtful and thorough. He really took the time to understand what I wanted and to play around with different ideas (in a constructive way). I get the sense that he can do a broad scheme or detailed drawings, whichever you prefer. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss any further.
  3. hello, I am also planning a loft conversion. Not much luck getting through to Classic Lofts on North Cross Rd, 2 days of leaving messages with their answering service but no call back. Just wondered if we are talking about the same Classic Lofts or is there another one that is being recommended here?
  4. Hi there, I have a quinny zap (which i am about to post on ED forum for sale) and can't recommend them enough. The brilliant thing about it is that you can push and steer it so easily with one hand....which was invaluable as i have another child who still needed hand holding whilst out and about. Let me know if you are interested in buying my quinny. It's in a lovely emerald green, has rain cover and underbasket and the carrier bag for it to all fold up into. Please contact me by PM if intereste. Sarah.
  5. Thanks for getting back to me....and for the last minute tip. The holidays are expensive but at half price I won't even be disappointed if the weather is bad...which it may be mid to late October.
  6. Hello, was thinking of booking a Mark Warner family holiday but a lot of the reviews I have found blast MW for cutting costs so much that the holiday experience is no longer the great package it used to be. By all account they once offered a fantastic holiday experience but cost pressures have changed all that and the package is no longer to such a high standard ((e.g. they are mixing up the 18-30 resorts with family ones in order to save money- net result is that families are being kept awake at night etc). They are still pretty expensive so I wanted to know if anyone has taken a family holiday with them recently? I'm looking at their resort in Kos? Thank you.
  7. A good area to look at is the patch between Ondine Road and the top of Dog Kennel Hill. Lots of pretty streets tucked away in there and you have the choice of large family houses or purpose built victorian maisonettes with gardens. You are then in catchment for both St John's and/or Dog Kennel School. However, only Dog Kennel Hill has a nursery, St John's doesn't. If nursery is going to be important then definatly call the school before purchasing anything as it does vary from school to school.PS When doing property web searches don't get caught out by only searching for SE22, some of the prettiest streets in the block I have described are se15. PS, the most fantastic nursery is also in this neck of the woods - The Villa's - so if nursery is your current priority then you won't be disappointed by the area.
  8. For some reason I wasn't getting the email alerts to tell me this topic was all still moving. yes, i will be there. See you at Peckham Rye 3pm, I can be spotted by my 2 little girls, the 4 year old has white blonde hair and the 2.4 year old has mad curly redish hair. They will probably be running mad having come straight from a birthday party. See you all there.
