  1. Just thought I would throw this up here for others to see... recorded it back in June. Lordship Lane Time Lapse I have to say we are going to miss East Dulwich (we just moved to Toronto, Canada). I've already started scouring our new city and neighbourhood for a good butcher, fish monger and pubs. I doubt I'm going to find places that can top the ones on Lordship Lane. Enjoy the timelapse and what you guys have got back there.
  2. Hey Everyone, Has anyone dealt with a minicab company that can supply car seats for travel in London other than Dulwich Cars. Calling around they were the only one I found locally and we haven't had the best experience with them over the years. Anyone know of others? - KGB
  3. I would imagine there should be a few starting to show up this weekend, being almost Dec 1st and all. Any new spottings today?
  4. Thanks... I should mention that the later shots in the flickr album with the Christmas lights are from 2012 (including the one with the 176). Always fun to shoot in the fog.
  5. Just thought I would share a few of the shots I got on Lordship Lane yesterday... Full Res ones are on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/krigh/
  6. UKPower networks don't say what it was but that it's affected all of SE22. "Our engineers are due to arrive in the #SE22 0 area @ 22:30. We hope to have all power back by 23:30. We've managed to restore most supplies" http://www.ukpowernetworks.co.uk/internet/en/fault-map/?postcode=se22+8hx
  7. Lightning strike for sure... we saw the bright flash a split second before the clap of thunder. Definitely hit somewhere in ED.
  8. Anyone know why the fire brigade were on Lordship Lane by Franklins last night with four truck and a lot of fire fighters? Seemed like more than just a false alarm.
  9. Glad everyone enjoyed them. I've put up a few more that I took in the sequence. I spotted Peckham Rye station first and started clicking from there. It was just my iPhone and unfortunately it doesn't capture the same quality as my SLR. http://dancelikenooneiswatching.com/photos/East-Dulwich-from-the-air2.jpg http://dancelikenooneiswatching.com/photos/Peckham-from-the-air2.jpg http://dancelikenooneiswatching.com/photos/Peckham-from-the-air.jpg SteveUK - I actually usually pick my seat based on seeing London or ED if I can. I was flying in from Vegas and knew Heathrow lands from the east to west over ED and then Richmond Park. Was lucky to be spot on. Ianr - Yes, it is surprising how much more interesting it is than Google Maps/Earth. Something about seeing it in one shot for real is quite fun. Speaking of maps though for those who haven't seen BING (Microsoft) maps have been updated with Aerial Photography from 2012 that is brilliant. You can almost recognise people in the photos. Super close and you can see all the detail on the buildings: http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=sk90pngztc6t&lvl=20.18&dir=98.58&sty=o&eo=0&where1=East%20Dulwich%2C%20London&form=LMLTCC
  10. Personally I love checking out my neighbourhood from the air and so I thought I would share for those who like to do the same. Taken back in November 2012. Here is a link for anyone who wants to see the full-res version. http://dancelikenooneiswatching.com/photos/East-Dulwich-from-the-air.jpg Enjoy, Krigh
  11. Wow, I wasn't expecting so many responses. Glad you all liked them. For those who are wondering, yes the photos are available as prints. If you are interested send me a private message with what size you would be interested in and I can let you know the price. I can also offer framing as well as just the prints alone. The prints are done by a professional photo studio and the quality is excellent. I do live in ED on Lordship Lane, so it would be easy for you to collect them. In response to Owlwise, I'm not professional but have been shooting photography for years and have sold my prints to others before.
  12. Just thought I would share some photos I took around ED last night when all the fog was out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/krigh/8264866313/ Would have took more but it was cold out there. Enjoy! - Krigh
