  1. I would like to also add that I called Steve to look at my dishwasher problem this week. I also called him maybe more than 5 years ago to fix my washing machine. Steve is fab! He came on time, diagnosed the problem quickly and he even looks online for you to recommend a new machine if the other one has died, honestly I would always go to Steve if I have any dishwasher/washing machine problems. He was really helpful, kind and just comes across as honest. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve to anyone, it's good to know a good reliable person like that and he knows what he's doing. Thank you Steve! Katie XXXXX 5 star rating :-) not kisses.
  2. Hi everyone, I would just like to add that we hired Jack from J H Plastering Services to fix our damp problem. They injected a damp proof course two days ago, they were quick, tidy and professional and got the job done and he took extra care in looking after my new carpet, by covering the floor extremely well. The wall is still drying out but the plaster finish looks lovely and smooth :-) Really nice guys would definitely hire them again and I totally recommend them! His number is Jack - 07877805665
  3. Hi, Hoping you can help. We need some rendering done on the outside of our victorian property. We have some holes further up the wall as well and rain has seeped through into out property. We also have a slight internal damp issue and the external wall behind this damp spot has some rendering missing. We would like to get a couple of quotes in and ideally a recommendation from someone who has hired a company to do a similar job. Thank you in advance. K

  11. We didn't because our excess is quite high plus we needed it done ASAP. Godden are very busy. They fixed our problem last week otherwise it would've been after Christmas.
  12. The crack to our property was a lot worse but it turned out that the movement to our property was due to the hot summer we had and the fact that it's sat on clay soil. I can't believe that lovely hot summer cost me ?????? :-)
  13. Just to add we did hire Godden in the end and they fixed the problem in one day. I was happy with his diagnosis and the work they carried out.
  14. Just to add we hired John Healey in the end, an independent structural surveyor as we wanted someone to look at the whole house, inside and out. He also diagnosed our crack the same as Godden structural repair, who carried out the work and fixed the crack in our Victorian property. I was happy with both Godden and John Healey. It turns out the movement to our property was due to the hot summer we had and the fact that it's built on clay soil. :-)
  15. Hi Lala24, We are also looking to hire Godden to fix a big crack in our Victorian property. I was wondering if you also hired an independent structural surveyor to diagnose the problem and get the work signed off by the surveyor once Godden had completed the work? If so, I'm wondering if anyone on here can recommend an independent structural surveyor? If we decide to sell our property at a later date, should we not have some paperwork from a surveyor saying what the diagnosis was and that the work has been carried out to satisfaction by Godden?? Thank you.
