  1. WHL - good memories, my first visit there 2nd match after promotion in 1981, evening game, 1000s of us there, 4-0, I don't think we'd played for a few years as we and Spurs had both been in the old 2nd division at different times Poor memory - 1987ish, Milk Cup or whatever it was, evening game pissing with rain, Lineker got a hatrick at least! (maybe 5-1 to spurs) walking back those seemingly miles to the station in absolutely pouring rain. To be fair I think the lane retains a decent atmosphere as it's reasonably enclosed, although my visits are derby's and my last one was 2002 (last minute victory for bleedin' Spuds). I also remember going to a Arsenal V Spurs derby on a whim in mid 1980s with a few of us who supported various teams
  2. Could we maaybe just have one bumpf thread PURLEEEEASE
  3. Don't give me your sympathy...give me your rake
  4. alright then....have you read the crap on there
  5. er....its written by nutters
  6. The Lawn discussion was a very blokey but international affair we had represntatives from Scotland, Ireland, England and even the midlands if I remember rightly. Opinions were standard 10pm in the pub fair - varied, ill thought out, hearsay, contradictory and repetetive but seemed horticulturely sound at the time. My lawn still looks rubbish and my two year old 10 year guranteed Wilkinson Sword rake broke on Saturday to make matters worse. Mines so patchy and bumpy i'm just strimming.
  7. Mmm...looks like it's from one of them there Conspiracy Theory rubbish websites to me Bluer
  8. Ladies Day! Too hectic for me. The Friday used to be my favourite day but they do Saturday as well now I think. Haven't been for a few years now.
  9. I'm going to the Castle...I may be sometime
  10. What's Harry going to do with the 10,000 "Ozzie's on his way to Wembley" mugs though Jah?
  11. I remember when all of this was squats....well, large parts of Camberwell for sure
  12. The joy of seeing Bagpuss' face made it thoroughly enjoyable for this 'neutral'...you going to the Final Ratty?
  13. Some grow on you amazingly - I've warmed to Jakers....but Timmy Time is my favourite.
  14. Well, I think Allis is an embittered old snob well past his sell by date... He must have said "Does Mickleson get his haircut by the same barber as Jonathon Ross?" about 5 times. All good shots are lucky, etc etc - Ken is infinitely more informative and interesting...put Allis down I say.
  15. I've said I've not a problem with his commentary (although it's not actually that informative for us 'non-golfers' who couldn't give a shite about the 19th at Lower Worslingham etc etc etc)but his comment about Woods last week were disgraceful, he didn't say that the Matsers committee should have the balls to bung out Norman who shagged anything that moved or Faldo who hardly kept his clubs in his own golfbag did he? He comes over and is, I suspect, a nasty old home counties snob....
  16. Well done Ratty - I was happy with the result (not as much as you I suspect :)-D)
  17. mmm...I think his commentating is ok BUT his opinions for journalists are largely sh1te and far too about his set of outdated values and prejudices...I suspect someone else will do just as well when he's gone and I wouldn't be that bothered if that's tomorrow.
  18. Well - a win for me with Mickleson. No hedging and only two bets placed on the Masters, so all in all with Pompey relegated yesterday, my Betfair account is EVEN healthier than after Cheltenham (down the bookies for the Grand National as that's just mug punting)
  19. er...I think Mick is firmly in the watching the Masters camp Tony
  20. ...got to beat watching Celtic or Spurs :))
  21. Stellas in the fridge...just need the saucepan lids out of the way (er...and the missus). TV heaven for me.
  22. Fantastic..I will be watching and hoping for Westwood with the compensation of a monetary interest in the event of a Mickleson victory...I wouldn't rule out Tiger who didn't even play well yesterday!
  23. Lenny Henry does about 50% of them
  24. EDK - didn't realise you were there..or did we say hello? Don't think so but had had a few.
  25. I predict DC will be without a tailored shirt on his back by 2011 with his new found love of the Turf
