  1. I haven't seen her for ages - anyone old enough to remember the pint nicker of Camberwell who used to tour the pubs of SE5, (but the Pheonix Firkin was his main one) in the summer and just go up to a table and grab a pint and drink it before your eyes, of course once you were in the know you'd grab yours and wait for chaos to ensure at another table....thing he was probably killed sometime in the 1980s!
  2. I have a two year old and a few week old but am fed up with every other shop being a baby one...oh great another baby shop all we need now is another Deli and maybe one more pricey kitchen utensil type shop and my life will be complete
  3. No-one seems to have noticed the 3 storey, Uncle Bulgaria's Ice cream and Cornet Emprorium next to Budgens
  4. As someone who spent 16 years years living in Camberwell (and is now just starting a secondstint in ED) I have to say I never met anyone from camberwell who said they lived anywhere else....I guess it shows what a lot of dreary, status conscious, bourgoeis idiots 'Thatcher's children' have become.... To be honest, anyone under say 35, not living with their mums and dads or without a young family who'd rather live in SE22 than SE5 must be as dull as ditchwater....
  5. Charlie a pointless point is an impossibilty
  6. Have I wondered into a trainspotters convention?
  7. Yes, the old crap about East Dulwich= Peckham.....SE15=Peckham SE22=East Dulwich, erm there's also a long eatblshed train station in SE22 called, erm, East Dulwich. So tell your mum-in-law and your mate they talk crap East Dulwich is not an estate agent's fabricatio but a long established postal district of London, ironically Peckhm was ctually posher for a long time.
  8. Annasfield - I support West Ham, as I'm from east London and it used to be compulsory....and, yes, I was in Cardiff last May : (
  9. Blue mountain by itself, then Graces and then The Thai Corner Cafe led the charge, when the whole lane was crap...indeed my neighbour back then (1993) called it 'hardship lane'
  10. To be honest feels a bit poky and crappy to me...very nice people as I'm sure they all are....
  11. At least some crack users know how to use an apostrophe properly
  12. Crack houses are far less scary than you'd imagine
  13. mmmm....does anyone in East Dulwich support teams outside the same ol big club suspects?
  14. The irony of a big 4 'fan' moaning about dodgy decisions.........
  15. I remember when Clapham was a downmarket toilet rather than the upmarket toilet it is nowadays
  16. You live in Nunhead and you're being fussy about East Dulwich?! It'll be like swapping Ena Sharples for Kylie Minogue
  17. Sorry, have I wandered into a really dull dinner party?
  18. A couple of points - big grocery retailers are extremely useful and popular, but that's missing the point of the argument , if chains start moving in the rents go up and the independents get squeezed out - LL with Pizza Express an O'Neils (I can't believe people like that corporate branded hellhole?!) etc would be just like Watford or maidstone or Swindon etc...yes I'd prefer a Waterstones to that awful bookshop but there has to be some sacrifice or LL becomes like Swindon or Bromley......I despair of people's need for 'the same'.....seriously, go and live in Milton Keynes. PS Upper Street was once like LL, look at it now plastic high street full of burbites
  19. I suggest you move to Milton Keynes, Swindon is also good for chains
