  1. You can hear Big Ben from Camberwell absolutely no problem on a still night...I'm not up late enough often enough to know about East Dulwich, but I'm sure you can despite the hill.
  2. Napoleon doesn't capture Moscow.....ooops sorry. Still, saves you a bit of time.
  3. I'm relaxed about the Jan starts there's 20+ starting in Jan at her school, they are going into a very relaxed environment (just nursery really) so not sure how they'll be 'behind' and she makes new best friends every time she's in the park, so I'm not that convinced that Jan starts miss out by not being in the 'gang' at four and half years old? We're relaxed - I guess many private schools where you're aiming for Oxbridge at day 2 you would be behind but state schools not so convinced it matters... I don't want my kids to do homework at 5 anyway.

  5. I doubt it will effect the coldblooded lizard that is Blair at all but I'd still like the enquiry to expose his lies, or at best total incompetence plus it may well have an effect on future behaviour of those that make war without having to fight it. Would you have just had the Nazis shot in 1945 as the Nuremburg trials were just a waste of money by your logic?
  6. Silverfox - surely that is exactly how Bush deystroyed the enormous support and goodwill the US had after 9/11 and put us globally in the crap we are in now? Bin Laden still at large too.
  7. the missus in my case, sympathetic advice... "you are joking" "You're way too old" "Doesn't hide your paunch", type stuff

  10. Kel's good
  11. A wedding, when you're single, is a gift from god. If you can't pull at a wedding, well, you may as well give up.
  12. er....does the Aunt have a say in your family Kel?
  13. Er. I don't know what decade you're in now Atila but have you been to Fulham since the 1970s..

  15. I thought it was about the giving not the value or am I just an hopeless old romantic?
  16. Welling & Sidcup But as Tony's probably here in spirit I would say Shooters Hill's good for the view and Oxleas Wood
  17. I can't stand Chelsea - but they do have a 'propa' and large fanbase that's pretty extensive accross South London (SW especially) and the western side of the South East but their old school fans probably don't by and large p1ss about on middle class internet forums with the 'newbie' fans that tend to inhabit them...Chelsea's plastic newbie fanbase is ironically enough extensively based around Chelsea, Fulham and all of them yuppie areas.....
  18. Dulwich Village yeah right (on) Upper Street (even people ftom Essex think it's naff)
  19. Did not the 'old and dusty' of a museum alert the irony antennae?

  24. Tasty I think it ould take too much time and money to sort that - I think they basically put a finger in the air and then, as you suggest, rapidly change odds if the money starts coming in on one side.
