  1. Post removed - it may identify the incorrect dog and owner - The Administrator
  2. Hi, The same dog was out again today without a lead, and messed on the pavement. This evening the said dog is whimpering in the back garden as he has again be left out. I think the point that needs to be made is that the owner/s do not care, they have no regards to safety of the animal or others. Given the attention of the RSPCA over the last few day's, it is hoped that it will be resolved . Kind regards, Libra Carr.
  3. Dear thexwinglessxbird, I think that you toatally missed the point, without getting to patronising. Sorry I cannot even think why I am wasting my time posting a message to you. Goodbye.
  4. Hi, I was also asked to take part in the programme. I submitted my menu for them to peruse. I was turned down because my Shepherds Pie contained real Shepherds!!! I asked them how about Toad in the Hole then? Better go the nurse is coming back! Kind regards, Libra Carr.
  5. Hi, It may be of interest to note that a male regularly lets a dog of similar appearance loose in the Grove. This dog relieved itself a few day's ago and the person left the mess on the pavement. This person then very kindly told me that I had walked in it! A number of incidents have happened over the last week, I am aware that the RSPCA attended a address in the Grove in relation to a dog. It may be the same address. As for letting your cats out only from the back of the house, I saw someone throwing a cola style plastic 2ltr bottle at a cat that was just trying to get in to its home. This was thrown from the first floor and if it hit the cat on the head would cause severe concussion if not death, the person laughed. This incident was at the back of the house. After I was told of the above incident I felt very sick, and I feel very sad for the owner as this would have been a horrific way to end a animals life. I am of the belief that we should be locking up the perpetrator and not the animals. Regards, Libra Carr.
  6. Hi Monica, I sent you a private message but have not had a reply. Given that we would like to bring a number of children within our care, can you confirm please that the Santa in the Grotto is a current holder of a enhanced CRB check. I am sorry to be a bore but the council will ask for this when we request to take the children. Kind regards, Letitia C/o Libra Carr.
  7. Hi, The problem with this incident was that TFL incorrectly managed the situation. Why have busses parked up when they can quite clearly re-route and continue the journey, and why not stop and divert all through traffic at outer junctions such as Lordship Lane. Is it to simple? Quite clearly common sense does not come into the equasion, or is it just another ploy to keep motorists off the road. I had schoolchildren asking me how to get to Bermondsey as the bus had terminated, young children having to walk a few miles in the dark? The comment from the authorities would be 'We will learn from our mistakes' if any of the children had come to harm. Its so sad in this current era that common sense does not prevail. Kind regards, Libra Carr.
  8. Hi, East Dulwich needs a shop that sells real Scrumpy, Lardy Cake and Fella's Ice cream. Kind regards, Libra Carr.
  9. Hi, I read a article in the Metro newspaper (on the transport page) on Monday stating quite clearly that the service was going to be terminated. I am a little confused, have the Metro journalist's got it wrong? Kind regards, Libra Carr.
  10. Hi, Yet again I have travelled up from the south coast and changed at East Croydon in the hope of getting a straight through train to East Dulwich. I was again disapointed to note that I had to get to Streatham Common to make a connection (waiting 18 minutes for a train) and then after five trains (About 45 minutes of waiting) at Streatham Common my train finally came in. Quite clearly, East Croydon is a large area with shopping and businesses as well, why are there trains to and from West Croydon and no direct trains to and from the East Station. Quite clearly, Southern has the inability to identify customer flow and should note the amount of passengers on the London Bridge to East Croydon route. If they are not capable of providing a service should we not campaign to get another company that can provide a service - or is it only me that wants to get a connection to and from East Croydon? Over to you. Kind regards, Libra Carr.
  11. Hi, Well done to the girl and her supporters! Wouldnt it be nice if the media featured this story so it serves as a warning and also that there is community strength in this area. I witnessed a female nicking two large joints of beef from Somerfields, I told a staff member and they stopped her. By then she had passed off the meat to someone else and they had got away. Moral of the post? It was probably past its sell by date and if not you would have to nick it as meat is so overpriced in that store. By the way... Dyslexia rules KO! Regards, Libra Carr.
  12. Hi, I have done this journey many times as my friend flies out of Blackbushe Airport (Camberley). By far the easiest route is to go via East Dulwich road towards Brixton turn right onto the A23 towards the tube then left once you get to Brixton town hall. Continue to Clapham Common and follow the South Circular around until you get to the A3. If you plan your journey to leave at 06.30 you will be able to scoot down most of the bus lanes until your through the built up areas. Once on the A3 continue down to Guildford coming off at the A31 Junction (just after Guildford). Whilst on the A3 travel in the outside lane as a lot of traffic comes off at Guildford Uni exit area. Continue on the A31 and you will pick up the Camberley signs. This route will take under 1hr 30 mins and brings you out by Tesco's Marks and Spencers In Camberley. A word of warning, they have mobile speed cameras on this route (A31))and are parked after the hills so that you do not see them until too late. Also if you are tempted to join the M25 from the A3 through to the M3 I would not advise it as Monday it crawls at about 5mph for that length. And finally, if you are a tad to early there is a cafe on the A31 at Hogs back, it is clean and serves food quick. Enjoy the journey. Kind regards, Libra Carr.
  13. Hi, Just read this thread really quickly. I stand to be corrected but I feel that the owner/manager of the licensed premises duty is to ensure that the customers behave in a proper manner whilst on the premises. I believe that it is a waste of time contacting the Police, The safer neighbourhood team, or any other party. I would say that if all of the postings were helpful and supportive and not so stupid, print them off and just place them in a envelope through the letterbox of the address. I am sure that if the owner/manager was interested in keeping trade and not losing business he/she would tackle this problem. It is really not helpful at all when innane comments are posted on this site when someone is clearly troubled. Kind regards, Libra Carr
  14. Hi, In great respect to your posting, you fail to mention the name of the restaurant. For the benefit of all reader's, please can you be a little bit more specific with your information/ evidence please. Kind regards, Libra Carr
  15. Hi, Just a note that if the person taking the photo is a burgler, he may have a crowbar or other implement to hand, this would then bring your own safety into question and becomes confrontational. We have a good Police force and we have a council that have direct access to the DVLA give them your information and do not get involved, let them make the enquiry via the registered keeper. Kind regards, Libra Carr.
