  1. We went to Sardinia early September last year, specifically to Chia and it was warm (27/28 degrees) but I found it too windy and cold for the sea, so October will most definitely be too cold. The pools weren't heated either so I hardly went swimming at all. Our son didn't want to get into the sea/pool because it was freezing! But the beaches are gorgeous and can be compared to Caribbean beaches as the sand is very fine.
  2. Hi there, We need somebody who is able to move a radiator by a fraction to the right - this week (!) - please get in touch with a price and available time - 07766226428. Many thanks!

  7. I did an excellent hypnobirthing course with Holly in ED and I know her husband does counselling. http://www.londonhypnobirthing.co.uk/Resources.html This is the taken paragraph from her website: Christian de Cruz (Counsellor & Psychotherapist) is a therapist experienced in providing support for the emotional challenges of becoming a mum or a dad, as well as life's various struggles. He has a private practice in Balham with fees ranging from ?30 to ?50 per session. If you'd like to talk about counselling you can contact him on 0788 690 4434 or at [email protected]. Good luck!
  8. http://www.greenmanandvan.co.uk/team.html Green Man and Van are fantastic! best moving company I have ever used and I have moved house/flat a lot! They helped me move from a seventh floor building and I didn't even have to lift a finger. Very very competitive and totally worth it. They are extremely careful when it comes to art works which I had lots of. They are definitly not your average moving company and most of my friends have used them in the past too. THey also assemble furniture (bed, shelves) and...Also our move turned out to be a lot longer than anticipated but they didn't charge any additional amount at all but stuck to their initial quote.
  9. I checked out 'Bounce' the hairdresser on Forrest Hill Road two weeks ago and must say I was very very happy with the highlights I got. I had a full head done for ?59 for two colours. Not only was it very good value but also the way it was done was really just like a T&G salon. Would definitely go there again, in fact I will for my colour. Hair-cut was good but slightly too short for my liking although that is more my fault for not stopping her to cut off so much. Consultation was perhaps a little bit rushed. It's a salon that I wouldn't normally go into because of the decor (slightly dated) but cannot wait to get the same colour done next time. You need to get the owner to do it! She is half Lebanese, half French. Hair wash was also very good by the assistant.
  10. I am on the look out for a fantastic, hard-working cleaner. Here are my criteria: - great attention to detail and someone who can spot the bits instantly that need cleaning - someone who doesn't just wipe but scubs and cleans properly (wiping I can do myself) especially in the bathroom - someone who I don't need to point out to every time what in particular needs cleaning but who takes self-initiative such as hangs up laundry if washing machine is full or dirty dishes left out that need placing into dishwasher, old flowers on the table, bins taken out and bags changed and so forth. - I pay ?10/h and we need someone for 3h every two weeks ideally on same day/same time (during the week) - We'd like the general clean done every time but add one of these into one session: fridge cleaning, window cleaning, change bedsheets.... - I have high standards so please only get in touch if you are very thorough and I need to see proof of written references and phone references. - I would like you to do a trial cleaning first and take you on based on that first initial clean. (paid of course) - I need someone reliable, who can call me or text when they are not available or have to cancel in the last minute, someone who turns up on time and most importantly who I can trust. - hours may become more depending on results. Please write a short summary about yourself. I will then get in touch with you. Our house is a three bed, 2 bathrooms but two bedrooms will not have to be cleaned at present as the occupiers do that themselves. So essentially we are talking about one bedroom, 2 bathrooms, hallways/stairs, living room, dining room and small kitchen. Many thanks.
  11. Hi, Does anybody have any experience with buying a front entrance door? Where should we look and get good value for money? I hear the London Door Company is very expensive so any advice appreciated. Any local companies in the area that sell good solid wooden doors with glazing panels? thanks!
