  1. Just in case anyone in any doubt still, there is definitely a bus lane camera in use on Dog Kennel Hill at turn off for Sainsburys - my husband got a ticket about 3 weeks ago.

This is a picture of the tabby my son saw in Dulwich Park today. Hope it proves to be useful.

My son and his friends have just rung me (6.00pm Fri) to tell me there is a tabby cat in Dulwich Park (near the playgound) that is friendly but looks lost. The cat fit this description. Anyone know of other relevant websites we could post this on?
  4. Fantastic news, I am so pleased. I've looked at Dogs Lost and it is definitely the dog I saw. How satisfying to see the full story as well. I'll know where to post if I ever see a lost dog again. Thanks for giving me feedback.
  5. .. he did look nervous. I now wish I'd stopped. There was a cyclist on the other side of the road coming to a stop towards the traffic lights who noticed him too and was looking at him. It half looked like the cyclist was going to cross the road to come to the dog, but didn't. I hope he (the dog) is reunited soon, if indeed it was the lost dog.
  6. Just seen (about 11.15pm) a dog trotting down Norwood Road (on pavement) in Brockwell Park direction. I was driving and dog was on its own and veering onto road in front of me a wee bit. This was outside Tulse Hill Hotel. Didn't seem injured but looked back a few times. Don't know much about dogs but it was sandy coloured and looked like a small version of an Andrex dog. Anyone lost a dog like this?
  7. This morning, on Half Moon Lane, I saw a black and white cat which looked lost. It was predominately black with white around it's face and chest etc. It wasn't wearing a collar and it looked a bit worse for wear - it was limping and looked a bit dirty. However it wasn't particularly thin or bashed up looking. I was in coffee shop near junction with Beckwith Road and the cat walked past sheepishly, it then turned into Holmdene Road and hid under a car. It looked nervous and didn't respond to me gently calling it. When I returned after 10 mins it was gone. Anyone lost a cat which fits this description?

  9. Hello, I'm not a complete beginner insofar as I learnt it at school (oh so long ago) and seem to remember basic vocab etc. Would love to be involved in any weekday day time sessions you might set up. Thanks Caroline
  10. Don't think it's that. But thanks anyway.
  11. Thanks. I've seen this page already however and couldn't find the poem my son is referring to. It's sort of like this, but these are made-up words: I'm going out today Why? Because I going to the park Why? Because I want to get fit Why? Because ... etc
  12. Hello Can anyone help me to find the words to a poem by Michael Rosen called (I think) "Why". My son has heard of it from somewhere but I can't find any reference to this particular poem on the internet. I may have the wrong name. Many thanks for your help.
  13. Hello My parents need to get some lighting work done/updating in their house. There are in total 10 lightfittings and an outside porch light. They have received the following quote (which seems to include more than was requested). Is anyone able to let me know if they think this is reasonable please or whether I should be able to get a better price. I am a bit "in the dark" with this sort of thing! Many thanks for your comments. 16. I find I have too much stuff for my green bin, am I the only one? The brown bin is far too big for our needs, and this is the only one which gets emptied weekly (for obvious reasons). A brown bin share or half size brown bin would seem to be the way forward. I don't know why they think we need a full sized brown bin when they only give us enough compostable bags for 2 a week. Do people put food waste into their brown bins without putting it in a green compostable bag first?
