  1. Hahaha yes. For mistakes during these posts - translater/translator, let us sue Apple for their crap phone. Meanwhile, I am more interested in Section 127. By Spanish, I mean Aragonese. Is that clear?
  2. Alan Medic I am Spanish. I am a translater for a large Law firm. Do you think all Spanish should only speak like Manuel from Fawlty Towers? Is that not racist? Please rethink your reply. Salsaboy I refer you to section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 -: (1)A person is guilty of an offence if he? (a)sends by means of a public electronic communications network a message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character; or (b)causes any such message or matter to be so sent. I asked to bear in mind libelous or offensive claims. So, again, can you clarify you meant by Carter can "cure" the problem. He has specified he is an engineer, therefore not qualified in Social Working nor Charity Work. So how can Carter "cure" the problem? Edit - this is Ren. I feel no need to have my own log in. Lots of couples post under one log in on this forum.
  3. Anyway, Huguenot you are the ugly person who inferred that Carter was a child killer. I will not call you a man because you are not worthy of the title. I know this is a public thread but please do not contibute again. You make my skin physically crawl, you are so repulsive. Ren.
  4. Hi this is Ren, Except Carter has not at any point wished that "people who disagree with smoking in pubs should be hung" nor has he said "burglars should be shot". Please show where these statements expressed as beliefs have been made. Facts are better than hyperbole, no. His thread titled "...and another thing..." was a rant against an unprovoked act of aggression and bullying against me, and his dislike of the people who caused it, as should be clear to those who read it. Everyone who responded agreed. It wasn't about smoking in pubs nor people who disagree with it should be hung. As highlighted - we were sat outside, doing something completely legal. If your partner or daughter was in my position alone - is it acceptable for someone to berate her with aggression and nastiness for no reason? The term "those who have caused it to swing from lampposts" is now, I understand, a generic term against your Government and bankers (and mine) for anger about actions caused. This was meant in the same terms. It was not expressed a particular named or nicknamed person. Him "boasting about killing people" however, is. He has not done this. Again please explicitly show where he has done this. Thanks, Ren x
  5. Hi, this in Ren - Carter's other half. "I think what pissed some people off if the fact you were so amazed your neighbours got concerned that you were out in your garden with a firearm." "Who said they are all nutters? One nutter is enough." Alan Medic. Are you implying Carter is a "nutter" because he was in the garden with his gun? Please explain exactly your statement. It is not against the law to clean a gun on our property. Social Responsibility? He had been away for 3 days at a training camp and then competition on the Sunday. He chose to come home and then clean his gun in the garden, drinking a nice glass of red wine with me in the evening sun. If our neighbour had just chosen to chat to us over the fence instead of call the police, then he would of found out everything. Perhaps we might of even been friends. So, what are we to do? Only ever move from the flat to car under cover of darkness? Inform the Police first and make sure we have an escort and a helicopter? Only show the gun with all curtains closed so nobody might see? His license could of been revoked that evening if the Police thought he was doing anything threatening. It wasn't. "One nutter is enough." Please can you explicitly confirm you think Carter is a "nutter" from this statement. Thanks, Ren x
  6. Hi, this is Ren - Carter's other half. LondonLogCo "Just a word of caution. There's one "responsible gun owner" on here who'd shoot the burglar, so tread gently with your creative punishment ideas." Can you please explain exactly by this? I am assuming that because you have put "responsible gun owner" in quotes then you think this statement is false, and that by advising to tread gently you are implying Carter is a threat to everyone on this forum. Can you please explain explicitly keeping in mind libelous and offensive statements. Carter may have dismissed you, but I cannot. Thanks, Ren x
  7. Just to clarify the last post. Carter made the original which read "Send for Carter USM. He'll 'cure' the problem." I don't understand, Salsaboy. Please explain explicitly how I would "cure" the problem" I am Ren. I am asking "I don't understand, Salsaboy. Please explain explicitly how he would "cure" the problem. Please keep in mind any possible libelous or offensive claims." Just so we are clear, Salsaboy. Cool name by the way - I'm Spanish. Please can you clarify what _exactly_ you mean by ""cure" the problem". Thanks! Ren x
  8. "Send for Carter USM. He'll 'cure' the problem." I don't understand, Salsaboy. Please explain explicitly how he would "cure" the problem. Please keep in mind any possible libelous or offensive claims. Thanks! Edit - this post was made by Ren - Carter's other half.
  9. @ Miss Curtain How am I going to work out your concept of irony when you when you struggle to work out the basic concepts of spelling, punctuation and grammar? If you are challenged, then I am fine with that. This is a genuine question. Please educate me. I strive for knowledge. Thanks for the input.
  10. "Having someone pull you up about your language and tone..." "You're a bit of a knob it would seem" http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/attachments/general-ffxiv-discussion/24908d1347072711-25th-anniversary-translation-massive-changes-way-headdesk.jpg Bravo!
  11. At NO point I have expressed "a desire to use the shotgun to deliver capital punishment upon offenders" in this thread. At NO point I have demonstrated a wish for deliberate home invasion by keeping "windows wide open & a ladder propped up against the sill, each & every night". And I certainly haven't shown "intemperate behavior". With regard to the referenced thread, two complete strangers decided they had the right to intervene in our relaxing afternoon outside the EDT because my fiance decided to light a cigarette. Indeed, they felt they could openly berate her for the smoke produced whilst leaving their child directly in the fumes of a bus. Perhaps it is just me, but I would never show such hyposricy, let alone feel I have the right to admonish someone else I don't know for doing something completely legal outside, based purely on my own predudices and incomplete education. As for "Mr Angry" - I don't know where this came from as at no point were voices raised or fisticuffs used. *Edit* love the quote "don't give a shit". This is used entirely towards the better half. She dosen't have yellow fingers, yellow teeth, rotting gums and can run 10K in 39 minutes, and beats me by a minute. And she certainly does not "stink like an ashtray". So yes, "don't give a shit" towards her smoking. */edit* But thats just me. I guess the political officer was on strike for more lentils the day I moved in, hence I slipped through the net. This entire thread has decended into utter idiocy. *Edit to add* The original question was to ask whether "Would you shoot a burglar". Almost everyone indicated they would perform violence against intruders, regardless of method including Hugenot and LondonCoLog. If I had just said "Yup" and nothing else I would of been part of the crowd. However, the moment when I mentioned that I do, actually, own a shotgun, then I became a target. Not part of the collective. An UNKNOWN. I have had completely unjustified insults thrown at me ranging from psycopath and inferred child killer to premeditated murderer waiting to happen. And all because I am a competition clay shooter who keeps a gun in the flat. I must be a psycopath because I am not a farmer. There are some deeply unpleasant people on this forum. Deeply unpleasant. "I am satisfied that this is a case where householders, faced with intruders in frightening circumstances, acted in reasonable self-defence. The law is clear that anyone who acts in good faith, using reasonable force, doing what they honestly feel is necessary to protect themselves, their families or their property, will not be prosecuted for such action." That is what I would do. And as we can see, the law is clear. As already mentioned, this thread has decended into utter idiocy.
  12. This is premeditated -: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10219655 This is not -: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-19463707 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-19505432 Everything discussed on this thread falls firmly into the latter story. I fully expect Mr Ferrie to have his license renewed because, like me, he has commited no crime.
  13. I am going to print out this thread - and referenced thread - and keep it to show Plod when I renew my certificate, which is next year for those who are interested. I can guarantee they will find it as bewildering and hilarious as I do.
  14. Red Devil - Yes I am, and yes they do, however I choose not to store my gun there. As already mentioned, the safes in the flat and the car EXCEED the required standards. Plus, I try to compete as much as I can all over the country when I can, and doing the 30 mile round trip each time is simply not economical.
  15. Wow. Just....wow. This has decended into utter idiocy. It has to be said that I did not, nor have not done nothing illegal. I chose to clean my legal, licensed weapon on my own private property. The same neighbours have seen me locking my gun into the safe in the boot of my car - again, something that is not legally required but something I have chosen to install. That, apparantly, makes me -: "Well you're a hard man Carter, with a steely eye and a big jaw - everyone is weak compared with you no?" If I said I was training to try for the Rio 2016 shooting team, does that still make me a psycopath? A hard man with a steely jaw? A NUTTER about to go on a shooting spree? Getting Plod round is an utter pain in the arse, because they would of been better employed going after people who WHERE breaking the law - you know, actual criminals? The muggers and such like who we read about on this forum every day. I saw my neighbour using a drill in his back garden last month - I best call the police because that can kill someone as well. The better half - the current one who hasn't yet been slaughtered yet getting a glass of water - explained it best this morning. She said that you people are obviously so scared of personal responsibility or differences from the norm that you NEED the state to wipe your arses for you. I am not a farmer therefore me owning a gun means I am a psyco, putting down Bravo Two Zero and dreaming of better things. Not a competition clay shooter training to try for selection to the 2016 Olympic Team.
