  1. @wulfhound - Whether you like it or not, cyclists certainly get tarred with the same brush. Unfortunate truth. You're right though, people should be judged on the merits of their road use. Built into human dna to generalise for efficiency! ha
  2. I would love that magic power. But with great power comes great responsibility. Not sure what bike he was on as i was a bit behind him. @Blah Blah ? Well, quite. However, seeing as a lot of ED people frequent this forum, this specific cyclist may see this thread and open up the debate. It's annoying when you see people behaving like this on the road. Especially since some cyclists love to get high and mighty about drivers bad behaviour. From a cyclist perspective, it gives us a shitty name. It's really simple to be courteous on the road.
  3. .... You were cycling like a donut. I was on my bike about 15/20 meters behind you as you dangerously overtook other cyclists and undertook cars as they approached pinch points/ pedestrian crossing islands/ junctions. You were making other road users lives incredibly difficult with your selfish ways. Evasive manoeuvres left right and centre. This thread is made in the hope that, if you see this, you'll consider taking it a little easier. You'll get from A to B without killing yourself, or others!
  4. I had the same experience last night. They were all over the place, messy, slow. However, the shawarma was tasty. My gf wasn't keen on the falafel. I think the standard has been set by the falafel place in Camberwell. Cheaper, more cheerful, more organise, tastier.... And, as a bonus, you can take them into the Stormbird next door and wash it down with a tasty beer.
  5. .. Couple that with an lazy landlord, and a DIY novice (me) and I have a problem. Anyone on here who can give me a hand? Wine in return!
  6. This is the most amazing thread I've read in ages. Seriously, what a waste of energy. Getting annoyed at people on the pavement for holding hands?! Jeez. Choose your battles. They're human beings too. A bit of empathy and altruism wouldn't go a miss round these parts. Getting yourself worked up about it doesn't make you feel any better. Seems like you wanted an argument to begin with!

This is one of the most ridiculous things i have read in a while. 'One of them'. Pffft. Lumping all black, teenage, hoody wearers together is definitely a backwards step towards encouraging unity in the community. Pure xenophobia. EDIT: .... And stereotyping
