  1. Hi all, we are looking to launch a new local business next year and are seeking help with logo design, branding, web design/development and Search Engine Optimisation. The work could suit a local freelancer or possibly a design student looking to boost their portfolio. If you have recommendations for suitable people/services you may know or perhaps have used in the past and would recommend, we would be very grateful. Please PM me or comment below. Many thanks.
  2. Thanks very much for your help. You will make a small boy very happy!
  3. Thank you! That would be fab. Ps did he scare any of the children?!
  4. Hahaha, mine has the same problem - build not quite right! It did occur to me that it might be a bit scary but then he's our third boy and I've gone beyond worrying - lol! Maybe I ought to worry as 15 crying kids won't make for a happy time! I have found some possibilities but they are all via big 'party planner' type organisations and come as a mega package of stuff that I don't want! Oh well, he'll have to be content with Spider-Man plates and cups I suppose. Cheers for your reply.
  5. Can anybody recommend a good children's entertainer who will come to a 5th birthday party and entertain dressed as Spider-Man?! I would be grateful for any responses - googling has not thrown up much and we'd much prefer a recommendation if possible - many thanks

  7. Thanks so much for all your insights - most enlightening. My instinct tells me to encourage my son to go for Harris Boys rather than following the hordes to Kingsdale and your responses have given me much confidence in this so thank you!
  8. Hi there, we are just about to embark on the secondary school application process with our Year 6 boy and I would be interested to hear from anyone local who has sent their son to the new Harris Boys Academy opposite Peckham Rye Park and what your experience has been? Current intake, wider curriculum - music/drama proviosion etc, after school clubs etc. I know that the Harris Federation as a whole has a great track record and is extremely successful but it still feels like a gamble with no GCSE results to refer to. Harris Boys is our nearest school but our top three choices would consist of Kingsdale, Harris Boys and Forest Hill Boys. Feedback on any of these would be welcome. Given that Kingsdale with the lottery system is, "statistically harder to get into than Oxford or Cambridge" (a quote from the head at our recent secondary transfer meeting!)I am wondering if putting it as our first preference would jeopardise our chances of achieving our second or third (more likely) preference? Any tips on this would be much appreciated! Thanks!
