Courtney is on there alot, I haven't got into avi buffalo's latest, though i I though his his debut showed loads of potential, in a sort of precocious way.

Blonde Redhead, King Creosote, Beach House, Allo' Darlin', Grouper, Jenny Lewis, New Pornographers and Neko Case (the last two are separate items rather than a tautological descriptor, along with a bit of a Durruti Column phase, all getting airplay whilst I toil at my desk, the atlantic beating down at my window.

"As a proud member of UKIP and a leading member on the Ribble Neighbourhood Watch committee, I often struggle to find clothing that's both practical and is passive aggressive to people with a different cultural heritage. My usual collection of tweed jackets with a handkerchief in the breast pocket may well be fashionable, but it doesn't quite tell foreigners to f**k off as much as I wish it would"

  3. Stumbled upon a rerelease of Pauline Murray and the Invisible Girls.

    Quite blown away by it.

Perhaps its the lack of familiarity with it, but it has aged incredibly well, it sounds alot fresher than many of its more successful contemporaries.

I wonder why they never eally followed it up

  4. I usually manage to fight off the winter ones and succumb to the spring ones for some weird reason.

Has a nasty winter cough 2 years back. couldn't shake it, cough started raspy, when to tickly, then scratchy, then chesty, then hacking, lasted three months.

Went to the doctor several times who more or less told me to eff off.

Started getting fevers and pains, went to the lister walk in where a lovely lady gaveme antibiotics, a day later the pleuresy kicked in.

    Ouch.

Luckily I'd already started the course and I wasn't in intense pain for more than a week.

If you suspect your cough to be bcterial I'd get it seen to, that was the nastiest thing i've ever had, though the pain drugs they gave me were GREAT!!!!

  5. we all know that news commentators are the most idiotic creatures on this planet, but i'm amused that Sky News saw fit to read one of these things on air.

On the non-incident of a jogger and david cameron, someone wisely pointed out "what if he'd had ebola or had attacked him in some other way"

The net total stupidity has just increased!!

  6. the more i think about it the more annoyed i get.

He says we haven't won anything since 1980, but is fully aware that we exist in a different football dimension since then. One where resources count for everything and small clubs simply can't compete. He knows that back then our academy made a difference, but know its a means to staying afloat, and given that from Ince to Carrick his success has capatalised on our desperation, his comments smack of utter hypocrisy. fecking prick.

I'm guessing its a revised version as a favour to his mate Sam, or just because he hates the fans for enjoying pooping on his parade so often.

  7. ok I looked. I have to disagree with pretty much eevrything he said.

'There is this preconception with West Ham fans that Big Sam is a survivalist who tells teams to boot the ball up the pitch.

'The truth is that he stayed up with a team of very average players. That?s management. He drew the best from them.'

in other words he's a survivalist who got them to boot it up the pitch.

I hope that before I die someone can explain the 'West Ham way'? I never came up against a Hammers side who played football I was afraid of

well he's mistaking the west ham way with winning ways, which is why he doesnt understand the west ham way.

Plus I saw a dozen games where they were the lucky ones, where we lost in an entertaining encounter rather than a bloodless encounter with negative defensive football where we accept the inevitable.

In fact hasn't Sam famously never beaten fergie with any side he's managed?
