  1. All details in the following link, DM me any questions or to arrange a viewing :) https://www.openrent.co.uk/property-to-rent/london/2-bed-flat-campbell-court-se22/2069695#
  2. Coming on to bump this topic; have just discovered these guys through a recommendation from a friend and OMG they are the BEST. So fast, so efficient, such high quality and totally reasonable - just brilliant. Thanks so much!
  3. Jumping in to add my voice to the chorus of praise for Hussein and the team. We’ve just had them paint our entire three-bed house and couldn’t be happier with the result - it’s gorgeous! They did a great job repairing and prepping the walls, the finish is lovely and the woodwork shiny and smooth. They did their best to minimise disruption; lovely crew and recommend them highly.
  4. Hello, with apologies for reviving this old thread I’m wondering if anyone has any new or updated information to share? My son has an EHCP (ASD) and is starting Year 7 in 2023. We want a resource base place for him but the LA are apparently unable to provide one! The long-talked-about resource base at Charter East is not yet confirmed and so I’m not sure is we should name the school on his EHCP anyway. Any experiences or opinions welcome!
  5. I've posted on this thread before but just wanted to jump on and repeat my recommendation for Paul - he's brilliant! We've just had a new kitchen done and he cleared away the old one and then did another collection at the end of the job. Efficient, reasonably priced, excellent service - couldn't recommend more highly!
  6. Hello, the Horniman Tesco has fuel this morning, long queue down towards Lordship Lane. Nothing at the BP on Stanstead Road. The BP on Kirkdale has fuel, queue stretches back towards Sydenham Hill, moves quite quickly and they were marshalling it all in an orderly fashion!
  7. Anyone missing a tent?! One just landed in our back garden, lifted in by the crazy winds. Definitely took us by surprise! ⛺️😂 We?re on Sydenham Hill, just across from the Horniman Triangle playground.
  8. Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone had any current/up to date recommendations for educational psychologists they could share? For context: my 8 year old son has a diagnosis of Developmental Coordination Disorder (dyspraxia) and we're on the waiting list for an ASD assessment at Sunshine House - which has obviously been delayed indefinitely in the current circumstances. Lockdown and homeschooling has brought a lot of issues to the forefront and I'd like to get him privately assessed over the summer so that we can get the right support in place for the next school year. Recommendations would be very welcome! Many thanks.
  9. Hello, wanted to echo the recommendations for Paul Knight - we had a bunch of garden rubbish, junk, concrete and rubble and he removed it super-quickly and efficiently and for a very reasonable price! Could not recommend him more highly. JLO
  10. Hello, I'm chiming in to add a recommendation for Andy, who built me a shed at very short notice when the shed company let me down! He did a great job - the shed is perfect, the work was quick and tidy and high quality. I'm really pleased with the result and am grateful to Andy for his prompt and efficient service!
  11. Hi Anna, thank you so much for your reply! And for being so kind not to point out that my reading comprehension was particularly poor and I had the group for the WRONG YEAR! The shame. So, yes, to be clear, I am having a baby in late March/early April 2020, not 2019, and would love to meet others in the same boat! Will PM you, and look at starting a new thread :) xx
  12. Hello, I would like to add my voice to the chorus of recommendations for Pavel and the team at And Move. They are AMAZING - fast, efficient, professional and excellent value. They packed up our entire 2-bed flat in less than a day, and managed the physical move so quickly and smoothly I couldn't believe it. They took great care of our stuff, were considerate and responsive and I'm absolutely delighted that we chose to use them. I recommend them unreservedly - book them today!
  13. Hello everyone! Hope you are having lovely pregnancies so far :) I'm expecting my second in early April, my first was a LONG while ago now and this new baby is a complete surprise! Would be super keen to meet some local parents, will DM my number to be added to the list. Julie x
  14. Hi James - no worries at all, thanks for following up and hope you're feeling better. Cheers, JLO
  15. Morning James! There's a crew of builders with a cement mixer on the lane this morning, next to William Rose. They're blocking the pavement so that pedestrians - including kids on their way to school - have to walk out onto the road. We asked them to open the barriers to let pedestrians through safely. They initially refused then we just walked through and others followed (see picture). Please can something be done?!
  16. Hi everyone, just wanted to echo the recommendations - Paula is a marvel! I got in touch yesterday evening when my babysitter for tonight fell through, she has arranged a carer already! I'm very grateful and amazed at the speed of her service. All the carers we have had through Dulwich Childcare have been wonderful and I'm sure tonight's will be no exception. Cheers Julie
  17. Hello, thanks for posting this Sarah. Would love to see if we could get everyone together - it was lovely to run into some of you last weekend! How about this weekend coming? Saturday morning could work for us, coffee at the Plough maybe so the kids can run around in the garden? Julie (Frankie's mum)
  18. Many thanks for your help James! I really appreciate it - the sofa has now been collected, hurrah! Cheers Julie
  19. Hello I'm having a very frustrating experience with a bulk waste furniture collection - originally booked for 9 May and which still has not taken place over a week later. I've written you am email today about this, I'd be really grateful for your help as soon as possible. Regards Julie
  20. Ooh, and here's my top tip: lanyards! I ordered a bunch from Amazon and they were brilliant. One for his dummy, one for each toy - so they couldn't be dropped/thrown on the floor. My son was 6 months when we flew to Australia - he is very wriggly and so didn't like being strapped down on my lap during long taxi and takeoff etc. Having a couple of toys hung round my neck (and his dummy round his neck) was very useful! (I should stress that these lanyards had quick-release clips so there was no chance it could choke him)
  21. Hello hello, I'm from BrisVegas as Matt has mentioned above. It is a lovely place to grow up, that is for sure. When we were kids we lived in the Redlands, which is about 40mins by train from Brisbane city and is right by Moreton Bay. It's beautiful. I've not lived there for a while, but I've been struck each time I've been back at how much the city has changed - it's gone from a (somewhat parochial) big country town to a lovely, cosmopolitan place with great restaurants, cafes and bars. I would echo the comments above about the heat - summers are brutal - but you're near the coast so getting to the beach is pretty easy. I say if the job situation works in your favour then go for it!
  22. Hello! Francis William (Frankie) Harrington arrived at 12:19 on 30 July. He's a whopper - just short of 9 pounds - which may explain why the induction took quite a while! He's lovely and we're enjoying getting to know him. Hope everyone is doing well, looking forward to catching up and meeting other babies soon. xxx
  23. OMG kristymac1, that is amazing! Congratulations, so happy it all happened safely and well, enjoy your new family member. Erika, would love to join you today but not sure we'll be able to - I'm still pregnant (ARGH!) but hopefully things are moving along so not sure what shape I'll be in this afternoon. Hope everyone is doing well, looking forward to meeting up with babies (including mine, when he decides to make his appearance!) soon.
  24. Hello! Congratulations to the new babies! I hope everyone is coping okay. I'm sorry I missed the Bishop last week, a little trip to A&E with my friend's toddler got in the way (she's fine, thankfully). I would love to meet for coffee tomorrow - Sarah, would you mind if we met a bit earlier and you join us when you can? I'll have to get away by 1600/1630 or so. Would 1430 be okay? Shall we meet at the Bishop again? Looking forward to seeing anyone who can make it. Julie xx
  25. Congratulations to all mums and new babies! How exciting and lovely, am so glad everyone is doing well. I'm REALLY enjoying not being at work anymore, though can't believe it's possible to be this HUGE and still get around. I'd love to join in this Thursday - what sort of time are people thinking? Julie xx
