  1. Latest update, finally been given a test site in Lewisham,so if you keep trying the website they do sometimes come up.
  2. The website continuously says no test sites available. The one on Albany rd seems to have disappeared as does the Belair one.Greeenwich is still there but my neighbour was turned away when they went there without a booked slot despite it being deserted. Many other parents in the same position, with numbers rising and kids back at school, zero testing on hand unless you want to pay ?135 for a private and possibly unreliable test. How many people are actually going to bite the the bullet and put everything on hold for 2 weeks with every cough and sneeze, many can't afford to lose the income. So buckle up people this is going to be a very rough ride.
  3. So 9 year old just come home with a sore throat and mild temperature, can't book a test for love nor money. Is there any truth in the rumour that they'll test you if you just rock up? Advice gratefully received. Also if anyone knows where the test sites are,is there one in Dulwich still?

  6. Hi,i would really appreciate some advice on some recent events. My dad very sadly died of the virus on tuesday at Kings College hospital.Contrary to everythig we hear my sister was allowed to go and see him in his last hours, for which we are very grateful. We now face a difficult situation where she has been told to isolate only for 7 days by her work and a GP.I am convinced that she should isolate for 14 days. She thankfully is not showing any symptoms yet. Could anybody advise please?

  10. Hi,just wondering whether anyone out there has any experience of how secondary schools are approaching dyslexia. We are currently applying for schools for my son,and would really appreciate any advice anyone has on this particular angle. We're in Camberwell so taking a long shot at Charter East Dulwich but have heard Elm Green(also a long shot)and Deptford Green are supportive. Any thoughts gratefully received.
  11. Another question for all you old hands,if you apply for school outside your borough does the same preference system apply? If we put Deptford Green 3rd or 4th would we still be offered a place if the ones above don't work out.We are in Camberwell. I vowed not become drawn into this, but find myself slightly hysterical and confused.

  16. As a parent of a boy in year 5 i'm beginning to consider the possibilities available for the secondary step. I've seen a few schools and although some are impressive co ed schools which we may or may not get into i've got this lurking feeling that i may be missing something,an alternative view,i am aware of the steiner schools and i'm not sure thats something we would consider or could afford. Would love to know if anyone's got any thoughts or they're harbouring a secret secondary school in their garden.

  21.
