Never, ever use Siddons unless you fancy a morning of rudeness and abuse. We didn't even see the van!

No, Wood Vale. The story is that Lord Hawhaw used to court the daughter of the house? Does anyone know more? Thanks

I am interested in the history of our house. Apparently Lord Hawhaw was arrested here - does anyone know any more about him?

Mr Page does want his job back. He was moved as he wanted to work flexibly as he is now a single parent. I understand they have wanted a part time postman on this route for some time (to save money) so they took the oppourtunity to move him.

Our lovely postie has been relocated. Today the post was shoved through the door, soggy and muddy. I have written to complain (see below) but if any of you feel the same way please complian on the Royal Mail website: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm Dear Sir/Madam, Mr Nick Page has been our postman for the past 11 years (since we moved in). I understand he has done this round for 23 years. In our experience, Nick has been an excellent postman. He is reliable, competant and resourceful. I understand he has now been moved to another job and that we will no longer have a permanent postman. His replacement today stuffed our letters throught the letter box which on arrival we wet and muddy. Please give Nick his original round. we are already missing him. Thank you very much for considering this matter.

Speaking of Posties - We have had the same postman, Nick - since we moved here. He has been here more than 23 years. They want to move him against his will and have a part time postman for Wood Vale/Underhill Road. I think we should all write to support him in keeping his job. What do you think?

Does anyone know what happened late on Christmas Eve on Langton Rise at the corner of Underhill Road? There was a lot of noise then two police cars, an ambulance and fire engine.
