  1. I'm a bit late to this thread, but even though I'm an avowed Note-Orian, and therefore a little biased, I know you would find loads of fun and a brilliant sense of community at any of Note-Orious, Goose Green or Nunhead choirs (and the others mentioned here that I'm not familiar with). Definitely try a free taster session with each of them, I'm sure you'll get a sense of the best fit quite quickly. But in general I can't recommend enough being part of a local choir for feeling connected to the area where you live and finding friendship and support around you. As well as all the fun music stuff. Hope to see you soon!
  2. Apologies if they've posted this themselves on another thread but my friends who live on Oxonian Street were burgled on Monday night while they were asleep upstairs. The intruders crowbarred the living room window open at the front of the house (there is only a very short wall in front of it, so this was clearly visible from the road) and took two laptops, some speakers and my friend's car which was parked outside after finding his car keys.
  3. On the train home tonight, the woman sitting opposite me was on the phone to someone who seemed to have had quite an upsetting experience. She was reassuring the other person, saying 'You should definitely complain to TalkTalk.' Maybe it was nothing to do with what happened to your girlfriend, or maybe it was your girlfriend she was talking to, but it doesn't sound like an isolated incident.
  4. Yes, yes, me too. I was in Somerfield on Sunday afternoon. Got home half an hour later to find the call on my answer machine from Barclay's fraud detection. They had taken ?49 out in Canada, and had then tried again for more money, but had been refused. Somerfield is the only place is ED I have used my card lately. I was in Barclays on Lordship Lane earlier today sorting something else out, and the place was heaving with people trying to sort out fraud on their cards.
