  2. Still alive & kicking, I was at a cool party on Shoreditch on Saturday & hosted one myself a few weeks ago - a garden seems to help & picking a weekend both neighbours were away!
  3. Loads of rain, thunder, lightening was pretty amazing, although not the best conditions for a night photo shoot!
  4. Definitely respond to dispute, keep correspondence. Do they have good feeback 99%-100%? If so paypak or pay via credit card. If not look at comments and see if they concern you, if so contact ebay. Other options if no credit card or paypal, old fashioned international money order? Cheaper than international money transfer which is electronic. Chaps/Bacs tend to only work in the UK.
  5. As Fatfighters says check out service charge or any charge on the property there was talk of ?10K per flat for refurb last year.
  6. ?19pm for 2 bed -contents with Acc Dam, personal possessions, legal cover etc with More Than. Loads cheaper than anywhere else I tried.
  7. Thought I may be able to make my first Forum party but have my work do on 14th. Maybe will be able to make one in 2008.
  8. If shopping in ED, always walk. Library, butchers, Fishmongers etc. If a proper supermarket shop then drive (have to as if more than 5 bags just can't carry them) , hate Sainsburys, so either Asda or Tesco.
  9. They have always been really quick, efficient, helpful & friendly. No complaints from me, good bit of banter & no not a frequent regular.
  10. SW9 is a nice bar - up the little alleyway in between M&S & Superdrug
  11. Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, Top Gun
  12. That's what I thought - hope you all register your feelings. Great initiative.
  13. Hi, thought those of you that are green may be interested in the survey going on to decide whether there should be a tax on throwaway plastic bags? http://www.londoncouncils.gov.uk/doc.asp?docId=20764. You can make your opinion known.
  14. Nope me too, stuck trying to get a paper signed off - US boo!

    Help!

mmm may have been covered under 3 yr / 100K Ford warranty - so hope it was over 3 yrs old? Hope you are happy with the Mondeo.
  16. I do have them! Not that daft :)
  17. Hi, I've really noticed it & this is with windows closed. Sounds like they are landing on top of you about 5.30am. Friends who stayed over the weekend complained as they live in South Manchester & said how much worse it was here. Have taken to sleeping with earplugs in, if I really need a good nights sleep. Hopefully will get better after the summer!
  18. Here is the reply I got from Southern re ticket machine: Thank you for your email regarding East Dulwich Station. Please accept my apologies for all the frustration caused due to the unscheduled closure of the above ticket office. I have been in contact with the Duty Station Manager who has informed me that they were required to give the resident clerk leave at short notice and were therefore unable to find cover. However, they have been trying their best to have someone there during the morning peak to sell tickets. With regards to the ticket machine, they are aware of the problems last week and again this was due to the staff shortages at the station as the machine had run out of tickets. He has been making sure that this machine is refilled every morning. They have also confirmed that they have requested a second machine to be installed at the above station. We do hope to have a normal service resumed within the next few weeks and I apologise for all the frustration that has been caused in the meantime.
  19. The machine was down nearly all last week and ticket office called. They say at London Bridge & Charing Cross it happens regularly at ED. So have't been fined but a pain queueing to get a ticket. Will try newsagent next time!

  21. Separate events I reckon. Emergency testing is becoming more common to ensure that systems work smoothly. As so much went wrong in the recent floodings in the Midlands & North councils are trying to ensure they have plans in place to cope with floods, tornados, natural disasters, chemical/biological weapon attacks at some point.
  22. Got mine this morning as well - post man said he'd delivered at least 30 in ED. It is fabulous.
