The problem here is that academics could be experts in very narrow fields and you are unlikely to find anyone to have a dialogue with in your specialism. So as AM said start a specific thread

There was a dribble last Tuesday in Lordship Lane near Melford- until they replace all the mains in that area this will be an on going problem because of the flats- the water pressure has to be increased, coupled with the hilly nature of the area, something old and Victorian has got to give!

Yes Sue, and being a cynical type, I thought 'they' were trying to put people off going. From my own experiences the GP seems to go for the most common ailment when diagnosing and then works his/her way through other possibilities until eventually (6 months in our case) there is a result.

The woman who walked around New York for 12/24? hours and had someone filming the harassment she got was creepy, especially one guy who was extremely persistent - and that was in broad daylight! -
Wasn't the haggis thing in the Beano or Dandy (the one with Dennis the menace I think)? I used to think that if you pressed the button on a pelican crossing multiple times then the green man would come up because it thinks lots of people are waiting......
