look this may be too obvious - but try ringing round your local schools now - maybe offering to come in for a visit. Don't leave it too long it all gets very busy nearer the end of term.

couldn't you get another entry door for the club - used to be my local when i worked round the corner.

we do know something about the squatting boys ...they havent signed on as homeless in southwark - for that they would need to prove they cannot go back to parents. Young men in that group get housing benefit - for reasons they havent made clear they dont want to do that. Its not unreasonable, therefore, to consider the possibility that parents have refused to sign the homeless chitty or indeed that the boys dont actually want that done. Being 'cool' is a huge motivator for any action by a young person. It is irrelevant whether they are lazy, unpleasant, cute, academic, industrious etc

Now how about getting a cab to east croydon then catching the 6.36 direct to gatwick in 16 minutes ...gets you in at 6.51am

The last squatters i knew lived in a house owned by a housing association who rehoused those with mental health difficulties ..the squatter I spoke to smiled politely when i pointed out the paradox of the situation.

well last time i looked there was a points system for getting housing - politeness didnt feature

say heres an idea - clear the site, put down grass, trellis and climbers on borders maybe, a couple of trees and benches, a mini pond with frogs etc and create a lovely little restful glade [temporary of course with a sign that says ' brought to you by ....name of developers' till they are ready to build] what do you think? impossible? too expensive? its probably entirely coincidental but if you pay for a private assessment it invariably comes up with 'dyslexic learning style' and very often a high non-verbal IQ. I'd stick with the schools/ southwarks SEN team.

In addition, we are pledging free school meals for all Primary School children if Labour takes control of the council. I think this is a really positive step and will benefit children and families across Southwark. why? how? i'd say 25% of southwark children don't need such freebies. one size fits all policies just waste money.
