Try Brett Barker (plumbing). He's on the usual rated websites for trades people. We got him in for ours (April/May ths year) and we were very happy with end result. Even with my ever changing plans etc he was very accommodating and even helped, giving his views. I have his mobile and happy to share with you...check him out on google ( he's a local lad as well).

Just taken my Canadian visitor there and we were both shocked to the price of a local beer (Greenwich larger). Surely because it's a local ale it should be cheaper than other largers! I prefer the old lay out (first time since refurb) seems very closterfobic in the back . Before we could sit where we wanted, tonight we were funnelled to the front! As a visitor, he thought the Forest hill tavern was much better than the Clock house (interesting).

My mum stayed there and was happy with it. When I checked her in the staff were friendly and the room looked clean..Had everything she needed. I'd recommend it, as would she.

We were woken in the middle of the night with water coming through our ceiling (we are top floor, so think water tank/pipes). We have had to wait till the morning to call our freeholder to get hold of key to get into the attic but looking for a plumber who could pop over within 5-10mins of us calling. As with everything, our freeholder (a council) has given us a 2-4 hour window till the key will be with us. Understand its a Saturday but hoping someone could help - we have to show the council (sorry Freeholder) its not a problem with our flat but in a an area they manage (expensive for us)...sounds bizarre to me, as its clearly coming through the ceiling! You could venture further to either George Canning or The Phoenix at Denmark hill station. The latter was empty last year and the big group I was with had it to ourselves!

...Looks like school run issue has been resolved. Parents can now drop their kids off in the newly created a parking bays...on the pavement!! Scared the living be-jesus into me when walking on my merry way to the station...

Ah thats why Jenny Eclair wasnt too happy going through Sainsburys on Sunday afternoon! We did notice her waking through Sains v. quickly, with Sains members of staff!

..totally agree that something should be done but due to the layout I guess it is difficult - traffic lights will replicate the problems we see on Goose Green/Lordship lane roundabout. I am forever standing there trying to cross in the morning to get to the station. Even the junction at the top is just as bad in the evening. The cars turning left into Honor Oak road fly round that corner from Honor Oak Park - I now walk further up H.O rd to try and miss getting knocked over, if I dont cross beforehand. I actually thought something was being done a week or so ago...sadly not!

We noticed the same thing. I guess they may be feeling the pinch...I did ask them about the for sale sign that was on the building and they said it was for the building not the business. I hope they dont close for good, as we have been going there for years...v.friendly and food is fantastic.We also take friends and family who are visiting us there - good value for money.

Indian: Babur near honor oak is worth a visit. The take away is different to the restaurant - we love both!
