  1. Along the lines of the above, has anyone had to put up scaffold over a side return extension, where their neighbours have also got a side return up to the party wall? How did you anchor the scaffold?
  2. Hello We have some child car seats we no longer need - they’ve not been in an accident etc. does anyone know anywhere that I could give / donate them to? Or is anyone looking for one - they’re Group 1 toddler seats. thanks!
  3. Hello Does anyone know if buses are going over Denmark hill as normal this Monday morning? Thanks
  4. You could also go via Camberwell Grove, vicarage grove and then Benhill, Edmund st, addington square, bethwin, cooks Road, ravendson st, cardigan at, sancroft, black prince Road and then over Lambeth bridge. There’s lots of LTNs / cycle only bits en route so is reasonably pleasant whilst not being too indirect. You could also go via bellenden road if you wanted to avoid the hill and spend more time cycling through burgess pk
  5. Looks like a bakery/ brunch / pizza place (for a change… :) ) https://www.soderberg.uk/east-dulwich
  6. I think it was (& hopefully is!) organised by Dulwich Festival https://dulwichfestival.co.uk/east-dulwich-christmas-cracker/
  7. Something like this would be more helpful in understanding the cause of deaths https://content.tfl.gov.uk/pedestrian-fatalities-in-london.pdf
  8. This data doesn?t show who ?caused? an accident, just what other vehicle was involved, eg if a drunk car driver crashed into a stationary bus and was injured, the bus would be the other vehicle.
  9. Bawdale to blackwater looks good. I blame the Victorians for not putting enough cross roads across the Lane.
  10. Agree. Obviously shouldn?t cycle on the pavement. I suppose the particular challenge with most of the pedestrian crossings, eg opposite the coop, foxtons, near heber road junction is you can?t just get back on your bike straight away, you have to walk quite a bit of pavement before you can start cycling again if you?re going in the opposite direction to the traffic.
  11. The problem I find with the crossing at the pedestrian crossings is you the end up having to walk/ cycle on the pavement, which isn?t ideal.
  12. Where do people recommend is a good place to cross lordship lane for kids on bikes? Struggling to find anywhere that isn?t too busy, or which isn?t a pedestrian only crossing. I need somewhere between a goose Green and the Plough ideallyZ
  13. Presumably this will only last until may 17? When they can reopen indoors? It would be a shame for it to have to close completely again. Pavement widening would be good too.
  14. Any idea what?s going in to replace House of Tippler?
  15. It seems everywhere except East Dulwich has cycle routes (the green lines on the photo from google maps).
  16. Why are no cycling lanes being put in between lordship lane and Peckham rye? Seems like everywhere else is getting traffic calming measures, bike lanes, filtered streets etc.
  17. does anyone know if OneDulwich is campaigning to have the Dulwich toll booth removed?
  18. Let?s assume that shops and restaurants are open in the summer, but with restrictions still in place on eating inside, numbers of shoppers allowed in at once etc. What ideas can be developed now to enable businesses on lordship lane / east dulwich to survive? My suggestions include: Outdoor space for kids clubs in parks Outdoor space for gyms to let to do classes Close some of the side streets along lordship lane to allow restaurants to put seating outside (eg outsiden Franklis) See if there?s any appetite for shops to have stalls on north cross road some days a week Allow beer gardens to be run by pubs in some green spaces (as long as they close by 9)
  19. they can come through holes as small as a pencil width, wire wool in all possible holes might help.
