Ithe 4 year old isn't tall or big. Only 98cm and 13kg. So I'm was wondering how long we would get out of the mini micro

Im wondering when people moved their kids from the mini micro to the maxi. Kid #1 is almost 4 and has a Mini Micro Scooter which suitable for ages 3-5 according to the website. Kid #2 is about to be 2years old and we were going to get a second scooter. Could I move my 4year old onto the Maxi Micro Scooter with the adjustable handle at age 4? Its lowest level is 67cm and the fixed heigh of the mini is 60cm. Then I would just buy kid#2 the o-bar for the one we already have. Is 7cm a big change?? or Alternatively can kid#1 keep using the mini micro until they turn 6 or 7 year old?? In which case we would get a second mini with o-bar and they both have the same scooter and then we move to bikes. Anyone with kids two years apart have any thought on this?

I will need to get a taxi tomorrow from Evelina Children's hospital, behind St.Thomas's at Westminster Bridge. Just wondering if anyone else has booked one from there that supplied car seats, before I start ringing round all the ones I find on Google. I know Dulwich cars have car seats so I could call them to come get us but if one was local it might be quicker.

I dont think you are getting ahead of yourself at all. You have time now to think about it and make some plans. I put our name down at lots of different nurseries list when I was pregnant (ones close to our home), then I had to wait until about two months before I returned to work to call around and get a place. Some nurseries will guarantee you a place well in advance some wont. When we contacted nurseries we went for a look around and they give us forms and information, which usually included fees. Once you have that you will have a better I idea of costs. Our nursery, which we love. Lists their fees on their webpage. Its never too early to start looking. Nursery places for 1year old (or when mom goes back to work) are the trickiest. Nurseries only have so many spaces available, compared to older kids, where they have more kids to carers ratio. I totally worried about getting a place, but in the end no one I know was left going back to work with no childcare. It all worked out in the end. You may find however you will have to compromise on days to start with. You may have to take whatever days you are offered and tell your nursery what days you want and then change to your preferred dates when a space is available. Thats what we did. Work were very understanding. I hope this helps

Thanks everyone I think I'll give the tommy tippy sipper cup a go. I need the thing to be leak proof when they dont close the straw / flip top thing and it falls on the floor rolls under the sofa and doesnt leak. There others one suggested I think are leak proof when closed but not if you leave them open. Thanks again

Hi there, I went to see Russell at the Dulwich Physio on Crystal Palace Road. I went every week for the last 12 weeks of my pregnancy and it was the only thing that kept me moving. He was amazing and deals with loads of pregnant women with SPD so is well use to it. I have work Health Insurance so I only paid ?4 a visit but I think the full cost was about ?45 for an hour. It was so worth it. I got a referral from my GP but went private, my midwife told me I was lucky because at Kings they just give you a leaflet and tell you what to do. A leaflet wouldnt have done me any good, I needed an actual massage. A friend has this at the moment too and her hospital also just gave her info when she went for the appointment. If you can afford it I would totally get proper physio for it. Russell also showed me things to do at home to help ease it. I just spent ages online looking for a santa grotto to visit in London this year. Im totally in it for the photo, but I really dont want to spend an arm and a leg on it. We dont need a 4D experience (westfield) or a elf brunch (the rainforest cafe)or a free one with a mile long queue (winter wonderland). I looking for a good old meet santa, get a toy, get a photo of my scared kids with santa so we can laugh at it when they are older. We did the horniman one year before last and it was only ok, a bit rushed, all over in a few minutes. Any suggestions ?

I recently bought two Nuby flip open straw water bottles for the kids from Sainsburys. We had a larger version of this bottle before and it was fine but these leak. I make the kids keep their cups on the table all the time but waterbottles get carried around and left all over the place. When these ones get knocked over I find a puddle of water next to them. When I google spill proof kids bottles I can only find the camelbak and Contigo ones that are "spill proof" and also about ?18. Im happy to pay it if they last and I dont have puddles of water all over the house, however if anyone uses a more cost effective bottle that doesn't leak when its knocked over or the spout left open Id love to know which one. Kids are 18m and 3.5yrs. 18m only cant open the bottles without help. Im looking recommendation for bottles in this age range. thanks

I was wondering if anyone has done any local evening art classes they could recommend. Im looking for a short course in any sort of art or craft that I could do once a week in the evenings for a few weeks. One that doesnt cost a fortune would be great. Im just looking for something fun.

thanks everyone. Great ideas. We went to the museum of London a month or two ago and I did feel there wasnt enough things to interact with for the kids compared to other museums. A few people have suggested various fountains. Do you mean you take the kids in swim clothes and let them run thought it for a bit? I have found Kew is hard to get to without a car but I'll put it as a backup trip. Anyone have more feedback on Mudchute farm ? I went to Hackney City farm a few weeks ago as a friend lives near by and it was a huge dissapointment.

We have a week off in September and have decided to stay in London. To make it a bit of a holiday I'm pulling together a list of things we could do with the kids (15months and 3years). Also we don't have a car but could hire one for the day if needed. Here is what I've could think of so far. Would love any suggestion you have. We're hoping to do things we dont normally do on a regular weekend so haven't listed trip to parks or horniman etc. London Zoo Aquarium on southbank Science museum Transport museum. Biking in New Forest via train ( kids on back. Picnic. Roaming around the woods etc.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. We will be two weeks without the cast tomorrow. It seems to be improving slowly and I have started to massage his leg to remind him it can move every which way. I tried to walk like he does and realised by doing so I dont have to bend my ankle so I think that's why he's doing it. Everyone seems to say a month before they are back to normal. I wish Kings would have said that too. The voices of experience mean a lot. Thank you all

I was wondering if anyone else has experience of a toddler walking after they get a leg cast off. My son (two and a half) fractured his leg at the start of December. He had a full leg cast on for three week and then a below the knee cast on for two weeks. He got the cast off 10 days ago. He is fully able to get about now but his walking isn't great. He keeps the leg which had the cast straight-ish when when walks and turns the foot out as if he still has the cast on. I understand his muscles will be weak and he misses the support of the cast. I know it will take some time to get back walking properly but I'm worried walking incorrectly like this for long enough may cause damage or require physio to get him walking right again. When we left Kings we were told to "take it easy for a few days". Nothing more. I was hoping there were some voices of experience out there who could tell me how long it took their kids to get back to walking normally after they got a cast off. thanks
