Theft of mobile phone on Underhill Road (men on a motorbike)
ozzy replied to JennyCee's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
At around 4.30 pm at the junction of Frogley road and Lordship Lane a lady was on her phone outside of the shop I work in and two guys on a black scooter type motorbike drove onto the pavement and tried to snatch the phone from her hand ,luckily enough she managed to hang onto her phone. I called the police and reported it and there is a good chance they would be seen on the shops CCTV. She was shaken but unharmed thankfully . Seems to be a regular thing happening in the area ,so please be vigilant . -
Lordship Lane/London Road A205 resurfacing works
ozzy replied to Bic Basher's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks for the heads up -
We are very fortunate to have some great shops and restaurants on Lordship Lane , with helpful friendly staff working in them , to name a few of my favourites , V7 the newspaper shop opposite where I work ,he always makes sure he has my cigarettes in stock . The Turkish delicatessen near Cheners is a great little shop selling many gorgeous smelling foods, Paine and Hunter very friendly opticians, Jaflong and Favourites both in my opinion selling great food and always with a smile . The little flower shop on frogley road has some amazing plants in there and always looks so bright and cheery. Oh and not forgetting Dulwich DIY an aladdins cave of everything you could possibly want or need as is Farmers .

ozzy replied to Willard's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Isnt it great that there are still some good people around ,so pleased for you Willard and well done to whoever found your parcels . -
I think its commendable that so many here do actually care about this lady ,even if she does decide to reject help ,its nice to know someone out there gives a hoot rather then shoo them away like some kind of nuisance .

Hi ,was just wondering if there is any new updates about how the lady is doing please ?

Please take care crossing on or near this junction ,since the awful accident I witnessed last week ,I have seen so many near misses and the way some inconsiderate people park around there ,I'm surprised there hasn't been more .

That's why I didn't go into detail :) I just hope she is doing ok. I couldn't get over the amount of people stopping to be nosey and other drivers not watching the road to take a closer look .
-
I was a witness to this ,I just hope the lady in question will be ok .
-
Yes thankyou she is fine and i did report it to the police ,especially after someone else had already been attacked ,i know it might not have been this person but better to be safe then sorry .

Just wanted to make people aware ,my 18 year old daughter was followed off the 363 bus by Hornimans park this evening ,by an asian man who was pestering her to go with him and spend the day with him ,even after she told him she had a son and boyfriend ,thankfully my daughter was unharmed and able to run away from this man .The reason im am letting you all know is a woman was attacked very near to where we live on Sydenham hill ,he has dark hair in the old curtain style ,slim build about 5 foot 7 ish .

glad to hear you are both ok .but just a little tip,so many times when im in sainsburys people leave their handbags on the child seat of the trolleys making it easy for oppotunists to take what they want ,also if you are heading back to your cars and see another car parked suspiciously behind yours pop back into sainsburys and alert the staff so you can be escorted to your car ,another tip when loading shopping into your car put your handbag over your shoulder and not into the car before you get into it ,once your in your car lock doors before putting bags onto floor or seat .please keep safe and vigilant :)
