Chick you will be pleased to know that Toi has been cooking English for the last 10 years, in fact she just loves cooking food. We will keep our fish and chips, burgers steak and chicken add some of Toi's signature dish's and some new dishes all round. We have also just hired a cracking Sous Chef that will bring his ideas to the table too. So look out for the ever evolving menu at The Old Nun's Head. You should come and try it Chick?

Dear All, Jonny is still very much at The Gowlett and is helping us a great deal with the transition and is indeed a good bloke and landlord. We plan to keep all the good bits: The quiz, Sunday Lunch, The Jazz, Easy Come and the great beer. We do however plan to give the place a bit of a face lift, open in the day appealing to Mums and home workers with free wireless, up the food offering, introduce comedy yes Gutrocking will have a new home and my bro will be compering when he can and also some feature live music and maybe the odd DJ. We also want to bring fresh concepts and ideas to the table, our ethos is about doing the basics right, but giving people a reason to come back every time they visit. With my back ground in marketing I hope to let the right people know about what we are doing, and give people a reason to walk that little bit further a field from ED. To honest though the boss is my girlfriend Lou who some of you may remember did the door at Gutrocking when it was up stairs, she is the driving force and has all the experience to turn our ideas into reality. Dear All, We get the keys a week today trade as it is til 28th then close til March 6th. We are then having 2 / 3 weeks of inviting people to have a nosey around ask us of our plans and share a drinks on us. We (my fiance and I), are taking on The Old Nuns Head pub and one of the things we want to do is age the inside of the pub, but also bring to the surface some local/interesting history. We want the pub to be genuinely be the pillar of the community and to do this we need to know out facts on the area. Cheers, Daniel

I want proper history like: Denis Compton started his sporting career at Nunhead Football Club Heinz opened their first factory in UK on Brayards Rd Stuff like this also anecdotes of the Nunhead area too would be awesome, I have been digging on line but want to know personal stories too. Look forward to hearing more.

I am looking to get my hands on a licensed establishment in the areas, just doing some research into flagging boozers and seeing who owns them, thanks for all the input I am going to make approach to Barter Inns, however have been told he is not in the market to off load at the moment.
