  1. We do sell large or small wholemeal bread as well as granary , G.I.(multi-seeded) , Honey and Spelt , Light Rye and the usual bloomer, Danish , tin loaf and have added the new speciality breads listed above .

Thanks siousxiesue for the comment about the cous-cous ,that is very popular ,along with the greek salad , the honey and mustard chicken pasta salad and the ham leek carrot and potato salad.

I look forward to serving you Ms Blueberry :) .

  2. New speciality bread in store now !

Multi Grain /Multi Seed :A combination of sourdough amd mature dough with the addition of rye flour, rolled oats and an organic multi-seed blend.

White & Rye : Organic dark rye sourdough mixed with organic untreated white flour , organic seeds and organic fresh yeast combine to create delicious white seeded bread.

Friesian Dark Rye : This is a traditional recipe from an area of Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands known as Friesia . It is made over 3 days using organic dark rye sourdough as a starter and then adding layers of taste with more rye, organic wholemeal, additional chopped rye seeds and organic multi-seed mix. Finally a little natural unrefined molasses is added to counter the sourdough and brings the taste to a perfect balance . Will keep for upto a week .

Roggenbrot : A strong rye sourdough in the German tradition which has a clear sour flavour of this style of bread. It also benefits from the natural goodness of easily digested rye beloved by seasoned Europeans and is packed with the natural nutrients of overnight soaked wholegrain rye flour .

As well as our much loved multi-seeded G.I. loaf, Honey & Spelt bread , Granary, Wholemeal & our various types of white bread .

We take orders for any of our bread . So please pop in and see what we have to offer you .

  4. Just wanted to say how great the shop looks now and how helpful all the staff are ,so informative and friendly . I had a freshly made cheese salad sandwich and a slice of their new caramel shortbread which was the best I have tasted ,its so nice to have somewhere that does such a huge range of freshly made sandwiches and salads ( not all this pre-packed rubbish .I also had a latte ,which was much cheaper than starbucks and tasted a lot nicer and at ?1.75 was a real bargain for Dulwich . I would definitely recommend going here if you like traditional shops that ,fresh produce and not mass produced .
  5. Just wanted to make people aware ,my 18 year old daughter was followed off the 363 bus by Hornimans park this evening ,by an asian man who was pestering her to go with him and spend the day with him ,even after she told him she had a son and boyfriend ,thankfully my daughter was unharmed and able to run away from this man .The reason im am letting you all know is a woman was attacked very near to where we live on Sydenham hill ,he has dark hair in the old curtain style ,slim build about 5 foot 7 ish .
  6. or might i suggest hirst bakers ,open from 7am fresh bread every morning ,they also do a low g i loaf which i know from experience is delicious ,you will be greated with a smile from the friendly staff who even at such an hour are ready and prepared for your custom .p.s. its a lot closer then ayres .
  7. glad to hear you are both ok .but just a little tip,so many times when im in sainsburys people leave their handbags on the child seat of the trolleys making it easy for oppotunists to take what they want ,also if you are heading back to your cars and see another car parked suspiciously behind yours pop back into sainsburys and alert the staff so you can be escorted to your car ,another tip when loading shopping into your car put your handbag over your shoulder and not into the car before you get into it ,once your in your car lock doors before putting bags onto floor or seat .please keep safe and vigilant :)
