  1. Hello. We have a small pair of shutters that function as the doors/ the front of our coat cupboard downstairs. They are cream and we would prefer them white (we didn't buy them/ they came with the house).

Can any tradesperson on here respray them white please?

    We live in Forest Hill.

    Dm me please.

    Let me know. Thanks KIrsten.

  2. Anyone fancy joining a friendly bunch of ladies who play netball on a Friday morning at 9.30am for an hour in Dulwich?? We play on the courts on Rosendale road. You definitely will improve your fitness, as we have a good run around. I would suggest you would have needed to have played netball at school, but it's not ultra-competitive at all, just really good fun and a relaxed session.(Plus it's good value- only ?4 pay as you go). We are currently a bit short of players,so I'm trying to get the word out. If you are interested, can you please email: [email protected].
  3. I'm a local mum & nutritionist who has had a practice in SE23 for nearly 10 years. And along with Vicky Brown- personal trainer, who specialises in post-natal & ladies fitness (fitness for mummies), we are running our 8th WeightShift Club in Forest Hill from Wednesday 17th September - Wednesday 22nd Oct 11.15-12.15 in SE23.

It's an exclusive 6 week weight-loss course for ladies combining cutting edge nutrition & exercise, which we devised together.

Once again, it's a daytime one and babies/little ones are welcome (but not obligatory!)- they'll be playmats and a few toys!

We have had brilliant feedback thus far, and great results. Have a look at the site for some more before & after photos and comments from past participants: http://www.weightshiftclub.com

Dates: Wednesday 17th Sept till Wed 22nd Oct. One hour: 11.15am- 12.15pm Scout Hut behind St Saviours Church, Forest Hill SE23 1JN

The classes are small, friendly and very relaxed. In each week's hourly session, you will received a tailored dietary advice, follow an exercise regime and much more. From a nutritional perspective, the course topic include: common myths about weight-loss, blood sugar/insulin control, losing fat from the middle, emotional/comfort eating & more[attachment=3016]. Most ladies lose a minimum of half a stone and about 13 inches of their body, without going hungry!

After the course has finished, we provide regular support and encouragement to participants via a closed facebook page, and also offer refresher courses.

  5. Hi there.

Typically participants lose between 7-14 Ibs and considerable inch loss, particularly off the waist area.

But more importantly, they feel healthier, more energised and embrace a new way of eating that always amazes me, as they really enjoy it and don't want to go back to old ways. (Although we try to promote some balance, so they don't feel really restricted). In our last week (of the 6 week course) I discuss how to maintain the weight-loss. And many have lost many stone since.

We also run 2 week refresher courses for previous participants and have a facebook community page for participants, where we keep them motivated with tips and advice. Lastly, Vicky my personal trainer colleague not only has regular exercise classes to keep people on track, but whilst you are doing the 6 week course, you get to participate for free on a weekly class (as well as the exercise you do during the actual course).

Hope that answers your questions! Let me know if you require further info.

  7. Just a few remaining places left for the next Weightshift Club. It's a 6 week nutrition & exercise course devised & run by myself- nutritionist & a personal trainer- FITNESS FOR MUMMIES. Suitable for any ladies wanting to get fit, lose weight, feel stronger and healthier & become more educated about eating to create health. From wed 4th June-wed 9th July at 11.15am-12.15 in Forest Hill. PM me for more details or check out before & after photos and other details on www.weightshiftclub.com.
  8. Hi there, you should always wait for your 6 week postnatal check and 8 weeks after caesarean to resume exercise. But 6 months after would be fine. You would just tell Vicky if you any health issues, as she is used to dealing with post-natal ladies and takes into account people's physical condition in all her exercise classes. If you are still breast-feeding, you would need to let us know at the start though so we can accommodate the dietary plan to your specific needs. Hope that answers your question, let me know if you have any further questions.
  9. Hello. Glad your friend enjoyed the course- thanks for your message. Typically the other ladies have lost between 6-14 pounds over the 6 weeks (although everyone is different.) But more importantly they have felt healthier and also kept the weight off and continued to lose more on the maintenance plan from week 6. It's not a diet where you risk lowering your metabolism and putting it all back on afterwards. I'm sure you could achieve the results you are after.

Yes in some of the classes, the person trainer puts you all through an exercise routine for half of the hour, and there are exercises to do at home, when you can fit them in- short, effective ones.

Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks

  11. Hi Winter Babies club

I'm just posting here to let you know our next (and very baby-friendly:)) WeightShift Club will be running in St Saviours Church in Forest Hill on Wednesdays daytimes. It's run and devised by myself- a nutritionist & mum of 2- I was in the autumn babies club 2013, and Vicky- a personal trainer who runs Fitness For Mummies, so it's both nutrition and exercise-based. You can bring your little ones, they'll be toys and playmats there.

It's a 6 week course-from wed 4th june til wed 9th July, 11.15-12.15pm. This will be our 7th one. And it's always a small relaxed, friendly group. In each week?s hourly session you will receive tailored dietary advice, we will follow an exercise routine and receive nutritional advice and food plans to take home, plus lots more. Vicky specialises in postnatal fitness, so will accommodate all your needs, but you need to wait until after your 6 week postnatal check (10-12 weeks after a caesarean).

See www.weightshiftclub.com for details and past before & after photos. Or email [email protected] if you have any queries!

    Kirsten :)
