  1. Hi Coco, congratulations on your pregnancy!

The home birth talk that Ana Maria mentions is definitely worth going to - I think they normally have a couple who've recently had a home birth come in and talk about their experience which is really nice.

I teach hypnobirthing classes in East Dulwich and am a big advocate for home births, so if you'd like to talk about it please feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to have a chat. Some great resources which I always give to my mums considering home births are: http://homebirthersandhopefuls.com/; http://www.homebirth.org.uk/; and http://www.thegoodbirth.co.uk/home_birth

Further to all of that, if you're interested in a hypnobirthing course I have a few spots left on my October courses http://londonhypnobirthing.co.uk/coursedetails.html - would love to welcome you along.

With all the best for a lovely birth,

    Hollie x

  2. Hi ladies

Not sure if any of you are considering hypnobirthing, but there are 2 places left on my June Wednesday evening course, and 1 place on the July Wednesday evening course. The June Saturday morning course is full, but there are spaces on the July one.

For more information please have a look at http://www.londonhypnobirthing.co.uk or please feel free to drop me a line if you'd like to know more. As a hypnobirthing mum myself, I really can't speak highly enough of this programme - it changes the way you approach preganacy and birth and gives you the tools to make your labour and birth a genuinely wonderful experience.

All the best for lovely births,

    Hollie x

  3. Thanks SW, and hi Catalpa. HypnoBirthing is indeed a great alternative childbirth education course - my website http://www.londonhypnobirthing.co.uk can offer you lots more information on what the four week course involves and how it prepares you for birth and parenthood. I run my classes from home - they're very relaxed and friendly and offer an opportunity to meet other local couples too. I actually have one place left on May group course (starting Wednesday 8th, 8.00-10.30pm in East Dulwich) - if you'd like the place let me know ASAP. Or if you'd like a chat please feel free to drop me a line any time, my contact details are on my website or you can PM me through here.

Whatever you choose, I wish you all the best for a lovely birth.

  4. Hi ladies

Congratulations on all your pregnancies. I don't want to intrude on your thread at all, but just wanted to say that I'm a local mum and run group hypnobirthing classes from my home in East Dulwich. This is a unique childbirth education programme that can provide you and your partner with the tools for a calm and comfortable birth. You can find out more about what the course offers at http://www.londonhypnobirthing.co.uk. I also just wanted to point out that if several couples were interested, I offer a 10% discount for anyone who books a course together - worth bearing in mind if there are a few of you who may fancy it.

Wishing you all lovely pregnancies, Hollie x

  5. Hi lovely mums to be

My name's Hollie and I'm a local mum with a 2 year old little boy. When I found out I was pregnant I was pretty terrified at the thought of giving birth, and on a friends recommendation did a HypnoBirthing course with my partner. It changed everything for me and I actually found myself enjoying every second of my pregnancy and feeling calm and confident - even excited - about the prospect of birthing my baby.

I went on to have the most wonderful birth experience and can only describe it as the most peaceful, calm and romantic experience of my life (really!). It was beyond all realms of what I though was possible, largely due to the way in which we in the western world are conditioned to believe that birth must be this excruciating and sometimes traumatic experience. My partner and I were equipped with simple but specific self-hypnosis techniques, along with breathing and massage techniques that made our birth an experience we could share and enjoy together.

Since having my son I have trained as a HypnoBirthing practitioner and have equipped many couples with the skills they need to have a calm and comfortable birth - the way birth should be. I run weekly classes at my home in East Dulwich which cost ?285 per couple for a 4 week course, including the accompanying book, CD and all class handouts, plus ongoing support for the rest of your pregnancy.

If your baby is due at the end of May there's still time to attend my April course which starts on Wednesday 3rd April, 8.00-10.30pm. For more information visit http://www.londonhypnobirthing.co.uk or email me at [email protected]

All the very best to you all for lovely births.

I recommend couples attend anytime after their 20 week scan. Evening and weekend courses are available, but places do fill up quickly so please get in touch to avoid disappointment. You can have a look at my website http://www.londonhypnobirthing.co.uk for more information, or email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

All the very best to you all for happy and healthy pregnancies.
