  14. well I'm talking about years ago Declan , back when I was a yoof ... its funny you mentioned your sons taste changing as he's got older ... I can identify with that ... 15 years ago I was listening to stuff like The Orb ,Dub , and dance stuff ... these days I'm happy to make a cup of tea and listen to Bert Jansch .... folk has always been there though from an early age .... I can still cut a rug though ... oh yes guvnor !
  15. Best by far round here is Ganapati on the corner of Holly Grove and Bellenden Road. Went again last night and it was absolutely excellent in every respect - food in a different league to any other Indian restaurant locally, drink and service.
  16. Hello
  17. I played my parents some Gryphon once , they seemed to enjoy that ... then Sound Sound Your Instruments Of Joy by The Watersons ... I suppose thats one example of how much The Sally Army has influenced me ... they seemed to like that ... my dad used to quite like The Beatles but lost interest when they got into "that transcendental meditation nonsense " as he used to put it I made them a cassette of folk stuff to play in the car once , steeleye span , blowzabella ,richard and linda thompson etc took me f**kin hours , to my knowledge they never listened to it once ..... the silly chuffers :)
  18. If I had gone on my parents recomendations I would still be listening to the Black and White Minstrels , Val Doonican and Mikki and Griff ... my uncle however , had more of a clue .... he usewd to listen to Dark Side Of The Moon .... I had an aunt that used to lend me her Kinks albums .... that was a bit of a musical turning point .
  19. and Hey ! there's a red car in the fountain ...
