  1. Hello...I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good care home for my elderly mother in law. She has lived with us for 5 years but her needs are now so great that we feel she requires more specialist and 24 hour care. We would like somewhere as close to us in East Dulwich as possible so that all the family can visit daily. Needless to say the quality of care is paramount. I really would welcome thoughts from those of you who may have personal and professional experience of the local care homes.

    Many thanks

  2. I heard them too! They are a group of lovely young people who have formed the South London Samba Band. They play at our party each year and always go down very well. It is so wonderful to see these young people doing such inspiring and creative things in the face of so much negativity towards this age group. Let's keep encouraging and supporting them!

  4. We are going away for 10 days and are looking for an EXPERIENCED and CARING person to look after our 2 dogs. Preferably the dogs would be cared for in the persons own home. We would really appreciate recommendations from those of you who have used doggy care.

    Thanks

  5. We stupidly left our car unlocked on Tuesday night and discovered on Wednesday that someone had been inside the car and had pulled out the all the contents. There was nothing valuable so nothing was missing. We also live on Marmora Road on the even number side. Will be a little more vigilant next time!

  8. Hello Mums and Dads

I am currently on a masters degree at The Tavistock and Portman which includes a module on infant observation - focusing on the emotional development of babies. If you are a very new mum/dad or a soon-to-be mum/dad I would be most keen to discuss the possibility of observing your baby.

If you are interested in knowing more please do private message me and I can provide further information.

    Many thanks

    Dee

  9. Hi Evie - Given the situation I think it would be much more sensible and productive to speak to your neighbours directly rather than engaging in such discussions via this forum. In fact it might just be our house that you are referring to! We will await your contact and look forward to resolving this with out unnecessary conflict.
