  1. I know people who diy it, but those people have more time than me!! I'm in financial services with a tax experts mother but would still be too scared... 😊

I also use nannypaye and have done for years. Highly recommend. When in doubt we call them, on so many issues.

They do more than just do what you're asking. My nanny is on mat leave and they've sorted all of that, and are currently running 2 employees for me (my nanny and her mat cover), all for one annual subscription.

  2. I'm thinking about sending my 5 year old to rainbows. I did a lot of brownies and guiding as a child / young person and gave terrific memories. I was never a rainbow though.

In particular, we aren't religious and whilst I personally can't remember much past church parade as a brownie/guide, but maybe I've just forgotten. Is religion a large part of meetings? Does it depend on the pack?

Thanks so much for any thoughts either by PM or reply.

  3. She's been mentioned on here before, but I thought it was time for an updated recommendation.

Margaret lives locally and is an expert on ERF car seats. I have used her for a number of years now, and today she got 3 seats for my 5 yr, 3 yr and 4 week old in a row for me. She gives great advice and has a great range of seats (the one I gave has lots of space left in it for my 5 year old).

Her Facebook is https://www.facebook.com/RearFacingToddlers/ for more info....

  4. Definitely agree with straight to pants, we bought some reusable pull ups which hold a wee (if small) but served only to confuse! Buy lots of pants and go for it, much easier in the long run. We did reusable as night but they were dry once they'd trained so only for a week or so, or as Pickle says just use Eco pull ups. PM if you'd like to borrow some reusable pull ups to try out.

    Good luck!!

  5. I know there's been similar threads before, but struggling to find them so thought I'd reignite the age old discussion....

I have about 10 meals I rotate, a lot involve meat which I don't eat and, whilst my kids do, they have a lot at nursery/school so would prefer less meat options...

So sick of looking in the fridge and larder and being completely stumped!!

Thanks in advance for sharing your secret weapon meals!!!

  6. Highly recommend the Riverford recipe boxes, we get the vegetarian ones as I don't eat meat they are FULL of veg, full full full. Also can try a few then you have the recipes to make yourself.

Another great book is by Anna Jones, a modern way to cook. Loads of great recipes in there with lots of veg and beans.
