  1. Cheers Seabag... I was asked to paint with two artists that have been 'cutting it' for many years this week, was a privilege. The Old Nuns Head well and truly nunned by Pure Evil, Inkie and AP by aprovocateur, on Flickr Blue Nun by aprovocateur, on Flickr

  4. Herrods is over for another year, it's door has closed for the final time. Thanks to everyone that visited the best (and probably only) art junk shop of 2013. Whether you were appalled, amused, intrigued, disinterested or amazed? always remember the Herrods motto 'Melius mihi hedum potest pingere' (bearing in mind the Herrods copywriter doesn't know the first thing about Latin). Much gratitude has to go to Dave at Junk&Gems as well, for his leap of faith, sense of humour and hard work. Here's a few photos of the final days... Neogeometrist Carl Cashman's hand painted vase sold before it was even on it's display plinth. Watch out for him in 2014, he's got a full year planned with several group shows and a solo show in the US. http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2845/11449867003_eca1793ac0_o.jpg Herrods xmas bizarre 2013 - Carl Cashman vase by aprovocateur, on Flickr Carrie Reichardt, the self-proclaimed renegade potter, was a hot seller this year. And with her exhibiting at the V&A in 2014 she's giving those Romans a good run for their mosaic money. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7399/11366061134_eb69c872e4_o.jpg Herrods xmas bizarre 2013 at Junk&Gems - Carrie Reichardt by aprovocateur, on Flickr A chocolate orange meets the 70s via palette knife and spray can, 'Herrods Beige'. http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3761/11420559174_e1337d090d_o.jpg Herrods xmas bizarre 2013 - Beige Vase and Flowers by aprovocateur, on Flickr And finally, to everyone that could be ars*d with reading this thread let alone taking the time to post, thanks. Have a great New Year and may 2014 bring you health, happiness and prosperity. AP

  11. Peckhamgatecrasher, apologies for not replying sooner, the Herrods* pud is in no way a reference to any heinous act of cowardly terrorism, being a pacifist I don't condone any act of violence or hatred to anyone or anything... apart from Daleks maybe. Herrods* is a place of pilgrimage during the seasonal festive binge for the discerning aerosol afficionado. Specialising in inappropriate last minute artistic gifts, primarily for yourself, but maybe someone else. http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3694/11066425576_8d00b38f7c_o.jpg Herrods NEON - FRI 13 to MON 23 | DEC 2013 by aprovocateur, on Flickr http://www.herrodsxmasbizzare.co.uk/ *not to be confused with any mini mart in Knightsbridge with a similar name (this a serious contemptorary art gallery questioning mass consumption, please buy our stuff)
  12. Thanks Loz... I'm an artist based in East Dulwich, but the WDC (who I gave the image to free) is a global charity, I was just trying to promote the t-shirts to make them some money. I wasn't trying to sell my stuff, I just added a few of my images for context, and offered a painting by myself for free to help get a few sales. I didn't think the business section suited a charity's t-shirts, my bad.
  13. G*d I hope this is the right place to post this, looked at all the sections and nothing seemed perfect (obviously, please move to the correct place or delete if unwanted)! AP ... --- -.. ps I originally painted the nasally challenged mammals in Brixton's infamous 'House of pain(t)' last year, and did some canvas and paper (below) editions, so thought it would be good to offer the image to the WDC for them to use how they saw fit... and b*gger me they did! http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8449/8035855643_c0d0af2946_o.jpg AP12 Unnatural Selection ... --- -.. 17. ps. knowing there's probably a lot of growns when this thread rears it's ugly head again... if a moderator wants to move it to a more appropriate section and maybe re-title 'AP's paintings and stuff', or something equally inspiring, that'd be cool with me. pps. am off to (hopefully) finish mortaring a wall near the end of Lordship Lane... don't ask!
  18. 21. Damn it Cedges, it's gorgeous and sunny, and it's nearly the weekend! ;-) I've lived in East Dulwich since 2000... but see the irrelevance of the crap just posted. Will go and find something local to complain about and come back when suitably ED'ified.
  22. And after a hard day lounging by the side of the road waiting for the Tour de France to go by... wot better than a chilled, freshly squeezed bottle of fine beer (or two). http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3789/9309240372_b00ecc5d66_b.jpg Brasserie du Quercorb - Trobairitz SAISON by aprovocateur, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7362/9306487759_22471867c1_b.jpg Brasserie du Quercorb - La Dama Blanca IPA by aprovocateur, on Flickr The stencils on the labels and beer matt are the ones I posted on the first page of this thread.
  23. This is where I was lounging a couple of Saturday's ago... top of the Col de Pailh?res. Managed to get up there Friday evening and bagsy a good spot on a small cliff above one of the final hairpins! http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3816/9267975071_596b3d0f07_b.jpg Tour de France 100e by aprovocateur, on Flickr http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5480/9267942879_4e4406a120_b.jpg Tour de France 100e by aprovocateur, on Flickr http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5531/9275691492_1f7e232204_b.jpg Tour de France 100e by aprovocateur, on Flickr http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3766/9270778884_e2a8660180_b.jpg Tour de France 100e by aprovocateur, on Flickr http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3666/9275678110_cc3e2c4aaa_b.jpg Tour de France 100e by aprovocateur, on Flickr
  24. The 100th edition of the Tour de France is on big stylee, and it's a huge stage today, two ascents of Alpe d'Huez! Here's a painting I did of Coppi winning on Alpe d'Huez in '52... can Froome win his third classic mountain stage this year!? http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3828/9199096048_d59d6192d2_b.jpg Fausto Coppi - Alpe d'Huez '52 by aprovocateur, on Flickr I also cut another legend of the Tour, Sastre winning on Ax 3 Domaines in '03... celebrating the win by putting his daughters dummy in his mouth (saying she's the most precious thing to him in the world). http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3709/9149686993_1c9925dbb0_b.jpg Sastre - Ax 3 Domaines by aprovocateur, on Flickr
