  1. Selling cot bed (with underbed storage), three drawer chest of drawers, with changing table that fits on top of drawers and wardrobe from Aspace Baby. A few scratches/marks on the chest of drawers and needs replacement slats on cot bed but otherwise in very good condition. £200 for all five items. See photos attached (sorry only photo of the bed as a cot bed rather than a cot but it can be both). Collection only from Herne Hill.
  2. Everything is ready for an amazing Oktoberfest tomorrow! Even the weather is set fair! Our Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event where we transform the green space at Judith Kerr Primary school into a Biergarten for the day. The event is running from 12-8pm. There will be several local craft beers on offer, home cooked German-influenced foods, activities for kids, fermentation-themed workshops running during the afternoon, and a great atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming you tomorrow!
  3. @LondonBeerLab @br3wery @CanopyBeerCo @BrixtonBrewery @Bullfinch_Ale Hope you'll come along! Don't forget to pre-book food/beer at https://www.fojkps.org/buynow/oktoberfest2019
  4. The Friends of Judith Kerr Primary School are once again throwing a big Oktoberfest party in the green space at Judith Kerr Primary School on Saturday 28th September (I know, we're starting a bit early) and everyone in the local area is invited! There will be an array of beer from local breweries, plus music, activities and bratwurst aplenty. See poster attached for more details or follow us on Twitter @SE24Oktoberfest and Insta @hernehill_oktoberfest. You can save money by booking food and drink in advance here: http://www.fojkps.org/buynow/oktoberfest2019 It'll be a celebration of beer and togetherness, and we hope it'll also be a much-needed antidote to everything else that's going on in the world at the moment!
  5. Another recommendation for Judith Kerr, my children are in reception and year 2 and are thriving! It's a very nurturing school, which the class sizes of 25 definitely help with. Also worth noting that there are a few spaces in other classes throughout the school, in case anyone is looking for a place in years other than reception. Contact the school directly if you are interested: [email protected]
  6. It is indeed a fantastic school. My children are in Reception and Yr 2 and are both thriving. We love the school community and the smaller, nurturing atmosphere. As for the admissions criteria - I have copied below the info from the policy on the website covering this year. Basically, after looked after children, teacher's children and siblings the rest of the places are 50% distance and 50% a lottery. We live over towards West Dulwich and got a place through the lottery. Am afraid I don't know where the cut off distance was for the distance criteria but the school should be able to tell you. I don't know much about the tours either but your best bet would be to email [email protected] Alternative you might like to come along to the school fair on 30th June 12 - 4pm to get a feel for the community. Hope that helps a bit and hope to meet you in Sept 2020!! Admissions Criteria: A. Looked after children or children who were previously looked after;1 B. Children with a sibling who will be a pupil at the School when the applicant will enter the School. ?Sibling? means a child who has one or both natural parents in common or any other child (including an adopted or foster child) for whom the parent has parental responsibility, living at the same address. C. Children of a member of staff employed by the School, who: 1. has been employed by and has worked at the School for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the School is made; or 2. is recruited to fill a vacant post at the school for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage. If places remain at this point: D. Half of those remaining places will be offered to children living nearest to the School, measured as a straight line from the School gate to the front door of a child?s home. Children living closer to the School will take priority over those living further away. E. The other half of those remaining places will be allocated by random allocation. The full policy can be accessed here: https://www.jkps-cfbt.org/school/admissions-policy/
  7. It is the Judith Kerr Primary School Fair on Sunday 30th June 12-4pm (see flyer). Hope to see lots of you there!
  8. Highly recommend Sundial Windows for restoring sash/oriel windows and masonry/sill work. They've done work on our house in West Dulwich, and our previous one in Streatham. Great job both times, both the aesthetics and sorting out the drafts, rattles and noise. Windows look and work like new, despite being neglected for much too long. They finished on time and on budget on both occasions. Very considerate and tidy (which was much appreciated by our neighbours). They're run by Steve Carter (07966 493 641), whose a lovely bloke and great to deal with. Happy to give further details if required. Matt and Katherine
  9. We've used Sundial twice (in different houses) - run by Steve Carter on 07966 493 641. Great job both times and very highly recommended. On time, on budget, look great, draft/rattle/noise gone and the first one lasted well (I'm sure this one will too, but they only finished it a couple of weeks ago). Really good to deal with as well. Give us a shout if you want more details. Matt and Katherine
  10. Very strongly recommend Sundial Windows - run by Steve Carter on 07966 493 641. They specialise in restoring sashes properly. They've just done our sash windows in West Dulwich, and previously did them in our last house in Streatham. Excellent job both times, both aesthetically and functionally. Finished on time and on budget. Very considerate/tidy as well. Give us a shout if you want further details. Matt/Katherine
