  1. Friday night at The Ivy House, national treasure Mik Artistik plays live! Loved by Glastonbury - lauded by the mighty Iggy Pop - the funniest, cleverest, most extraordinary denizen of Leeds is coming to please! Don't come! You'll hate it!
  2. The wonderful Mik Artistik's Ego Trip are coming back to the Ivy House, with support from The Relatives His website says this: Mik Artistik is a poet, performer, artist and comedian . With his compadre Jonny Flockton on guitars, and a selection of well heeled bass players, they travel from city to city, frightening and delighting adults and children with their special brand of joyous madness. Iggy Pop played two of their tunes on his radio show on 6Music and called ?Plastic Fox? a ?stone old classic?, and introduced ?Sweet Leaf of the North? with ..?This is a great song?. Gideon Coe on 6music calls them ?The best live act I?ve seen all summer?. Martin Parr calls them ?My favourite band on the planet?. & Keith Allen has one of the band's teapots. They?ve played Glastonbury for the last 11 years, supported Faust, Chas and Dave, played the London Fashion Show, and Batley Rugby Club , and are loved by all/some. The Relatives are rubbish at promotion so no-one famous has ever said anything about them! However, they are the only band in the universe that Mik Artistik allows to share his billing so they must be good. Doors at 7:30pm.
