  1. Hi We are thinking about moving to woodvale with a young baby and 3 year old, would be great to hear from people who live on the road re what it is like, other young families, nurseries and schools close by and anything else that will help us get a feel as we are not living in the area currently. big thanks sally
  2. Hi Would be very grateful for any feedback on Horniman primary?? cheers Sally
  3. Hi Spells We are in the same situation looking to move to ED around June/July time with a 3 year old and 3 month old! re primary schools I have heard good things about Horniman, Goodrich and Fairlawns although catchments seem to be rather a nightmare. Will keep you posted once I get into nurseries once we have found a property and be great to hear any good nurseries you may come across! We are looking at East Dulwich/Forest Hill borders. Good luck! Sally
  4. Hi Spring babies club, I am having my 2nd little boy in the next week or so - due date March 30th. We are in the process of buying a house in ED so will be hopefully moving June/July to the area from Walthamstow. Hope to meet mums from this group as we settle in to our new home once all house stuff has gone through - fingers crossed! Cheers, Sally
  5. Hi ED forum We are thinking of moving to ED around the Underhill Road area - is this on a flight path? We did live in Clapham for a while many years ago and the planes drove me nuts so dont really want to repeat that! Any advice on what the noise levels are like in this part of ED would be great! Cheers Sally
  6. Hi We have made an offer on a house on Underhill Road (the top end past the cemetary) and was wondering if there are any young families on this part of the street (immediate neighbours have grown up children)? Where we live now we have quite a few neighbours with children of similar age (nearly 3 and about to be born!) and it is lovely to pop round for coffee/play dates, share "tea time" etc. Would be great if we can also find this in our new street too! (if of course we get the house!) Cheers Sally
  7. Hi Thanks to all for your mails - very reassuring to get! Everyone has been so helpful so far it makes ED very appealing and really reflects the community vibe we are looking for! Second viewing on Sun so fingers crossed! Cheers Sally
  8. Hi I am due my second little boy March 30th and we are looking at moving to the area. Already have a lovely 2.5 yr old boy. Would be great to hear from second time mums on what's on in the East Dulwich/Forest Hill area, great nurseries etc and any other advice for a mum moving to the area, also when we have found the house and made the move be great to meet some mums as well as I will be leaving all my current mums and support network behind -gulp! Cheers Sally
  9. Hi there We are thinking of moving to East Dulwich/Forest Hill area with our son (3 in June) and baby due in 3 weeks. Am trying to get a "feel" for the area in terms of what it offers young families especially the good nurseries and primary schools but also play groups and activities. We are looking around the Underhill road area currently but that isnt fixed. Are there areas, nurseries, schools to avoid as well as knowing the best ones. Would really appreciate any advice or insight people could share to help us get a handle on things. From research so far it looks like there are some great schools but you have to live practically in the playground to get in! Thanks very much! Sally
