The Bigger Picture film club will be showing ? ?Memento? (2000) at 8pm on Thursday, 18 September 2014, Upstairs at East Dulwich Tavern.
Leonard, who was beaten severely by the man who killed his wife, suffers from a rare kind of memory loss. He remembers life before the murder, but is unable to recall anything for more than a few minutes since then. He resorts to taking copious notes, Polaroid photos and even tattoos himself to remember. He retains awareness that his wife was murdered and is determined to find her killer.

'Lore' will be introduced by the novelist Rachel Seiffert. The film is based on the true story of her grandmother's extraordinary flight as a child across Germany after WW2. Rachel will give a Q&A after the film and signed copies of her books will also be on sale courtsey of Rye Books.

Young Mumbai housewife, Ila, tries to spice up her marriage by preparing a special lunchbox to be delivered to her husband at work. By mistake, it is delivered to another office worker, Saajan, a lonely old man. The absence of a reaction from her husband leads her to put a note in the next day?s lunchbox. Thus begins an exchange of lunchbox notes between Sajaan and Ila, which evolves into an unexpected friendship.
