I am seeking opinion thats why Sue, esp as posters like you are in local pubs a lot so was wondering if any1 else has seen it/concerned. I don't see why cruelty to a goldfish ie keeping in poor inappropriate conditions is acceptable but keeping a dog for example in equivlient poor conditions is unacceptable.

Has anyone else noticed the real goldfish that is on a shelf high up behind the bar opposite the entrance doors of the EDT? It is on its own, in a tiny glass round bowl (cartoon/sitcom style/'retro') type small bowl. Isn't this cruel in terms of the poor fish being on its own,in too small a bowl, and subject to excessive noise and light etc from 11am till closing time?

You cant argue with fact so you talk rot. Swearing and abusing someone 'cos thought they'd get away with it,plus it being condoned by others all because in another language is bullying and abuse and sneaky. There has been so much critiscism about cliques on the forum over the years yet you cant cliqueier than this thread as it is exclusive and devisive. There are plenty of 'learn a language' threads,plenty of other gatherings such as curry clubs,and drinks and so on-any1 can join/go along and connect with speakers of their own language without the need for this thread in the way it was done. If it truly was a non english speaking person looking for some company then maybe their 'friend' that enabled them to post in the first place should have provided a translation for the majority of edfers to share.

Disagree on both bogus points as would anyone reading the thread. It is entirely reasonable that a local internet forum in France would be in French, in Germany German etc. If people want to start a forum (not thread) in another language other than the language of the forum (country) they are in-thats completely fine and unless you read/spoke that particular language there would be no point in joining that forum as you could not be informed/participate or enjoy could you. Why dont we start threads in hundreds of other languages only and see how long the forum lasts.
